fair point to that on the low mileage car it also depends on how far it went tho. e.g ours is at 50k but dosnt get used that often but when it does it has a 30 mile round trip and thats all its used for,and thats 35mins driving to work..Depends on the low mileage car how it used if for instance its started up driven a mile to the shops then back and thats it yes that isnt very good.

well were selling our lupo gti and thats done 50k and has been fine yet our other car a fabia vrs which i brought low mileage and now is neally hitting the 100k mark and thats spot on. id buy a high mileage car but only to 100k and it would have be cheap but a really clean example. Yet you have to remember with higher mileage cars is its not just the engine which has done that its the gearbox suspension all the bushes steering rack etc etc. Like mentioned you could buy two identical cars etc and one could be a right pain in the backside! Depends what you want more a cheaper higher mileage car with more wear or a bit more expensive but fewer mileage?? For me i like to think when i come to sell it whats the mileage going to be and stuff. tuff one really.

Lupo GTI 51500 miles For sale is my lupo GTI which i have owned from new and is completely standard and not messed around with. Its on a 53 plate in reflex silver and has coved 51500 miles. The car is in excellent condition and so is the interior,it drives wounderfully and is really good on fuel too. It has the standard 15" bathurst alloys. The car has full service history and has just been serviced in october. 53 plate 51500miles owned from new Full service history with all receipts 12months TAX 10months MOT (including all certificates) electric windows electric mirrors xenon headlights 6 speed £5000 ono The cambelt and waterpump were done October 2008 at 34380miles.The first three services were at VW and the rest at a independant garage.The last service was a minor and had a major in 2010The body work is in excellent condition with some minor blemishes on the bumber which is to be expected from a car of this age. The n/s/f alloy does have some scuffs on the face of it from a kerb! Other than those small things its a real genuine car. The biggest selling point of this car is that no boy racer has thrashed the car as iv owned it from new. For the past two years it hasnt been used much as we have another car we use. No just on standard rims but i did think of steel rims and my answer has been answered on what size to get! Did look earlier but cant get 205/45x15 winter tyres so thats out the question.

Thanks for the info never thought of 205/45 lol! il take a look at which magazine sounds good i do think nokian have brought a new tyre out so will look in to it but if they reckon conti are far better then i will look into this as i want the best for my money.cheers stevie will re post when fitted etc will be after christmas tho.Damien
