  1. Hi, I have lupo tdi with revo and it was brilliant. The map made the power so smooth, not snappy, especially from 3-5 k rpm
  2. Matt, your not confused, your correct, you have to deduct atomspheric pressure from absolute. Atmposhepheric is normally quite close from 990 millibars to 1 bar, so 1.3 bar is correct which is 18.8604 psi, John
  3. Hi, How about adding a larger turbo. I wondered if the v6 tdi could be adapted, as in half of 6 cylinders =? Some of you might remember me at stealth with my silver lupo. I only owned it for 3 months but I loved it. Anyway, I decided to get something with 1.9 tdi engine and bought a fabia tdi pd100 which allard's modified to 181 bhp and 302 lb/ ft. As Iam moving to Oz around xmas time I am having to sell it. It's on ebay, just enter the search words allard and fabia. Much respect to this forum! John
  4. Hi, I used to have a lupo. My fabia 1.9 tdi pd100 (181/ 300lb ft) intercooler temp dropped at max by 25 degrees from 90 to 65. It would get to 90 degrees if i pressed on in under 10 seconds before i had the front mounted intercooler fitted. Hope this helps? John N.B measures using vag-com
  5. I a word: HEATSOAK Have you seen the tiny little intercooler behind the dirvers side front wheel. The remap has caused to much additional heat which is not helped by the hot spell. Solution is a front mounted intercooler of larger size. Get vag-com to record heat and if it goes up to around 90 degrees you have hit the problem. Hope this helps? John
  6. Thanks for the reply, Any idea where the car is now plse. Best wishes John
  7. Hi, I have heard of such a car. Wondered where you got the hybrid turbo from and what spec it is. For example vnt17 body vnt15 vanes? Are the conrods and pistons completely transferable ? Did you have the car rolling road tested? Do the maths 1422/3 * 4 =1896 Thanks for your post John
  8. Hi, Does anyone know the differences between 1.4 tdi 75bhp and the audi a2 1.4 tdi sport 90 bhp engines. If it's turbo and injectors it could be the route for soem modifying. Best wishes John

No, it's actually producing that power! Had an acceleration runs with remapped fabia vrs running between 160-170bhp with the 6 speed box and my modded pd100 pulled away no problem. To my knowledge Stealth has an 'accurate' r.road. Lupo/Arosa club went there last year and nobody complained! Best wishes John

Hi, I did the same as you did. Xmas 2004 I bought 1.4 tdi lupo sport great little car had it revo'd, I loved it ! Then 3 months went buy and I thought about more power. Cut along story short, I part ex'd the lupo for a fabia 1.9 tdi pd100 of the same year. Since then i have spent £2K and it's producing 181 bhp and 301 lb ft according to stealth racing rolling road today. I agree it ain't got a great kudos, but my god it's a great 'sleeper'. Best wishes John
  12. Hi, Allards have got some great injectors that would really make the think fly! Ever thought about upgrading to a hybrid turbo? Best wishes John
  13. Nikki, Torque vs power question. Example, motorcycle engine in a car - no torque lots of power - still go fast but because of lack of torque it would take ages to accelerate the weight. What da ya think? John Fabia tdipd100 stage 3 allard 321 lb ft, 182 bhp
  14. Hi, I have a panel filter (cylindrical shape) for 1.4 tdi pd it's done less than 2000 miles. I will accept £20 plus P+P Best wishes johnyardley@bigfoot.com
  15. Hi, Do you know the major differences between the 75 and 90 bhp 1.4tdi engines? Is it a simple matter of electronic controls being modified, or, are there larger injectors, stronger engine housing, larger turbo etc. Best wishes John
  16. I have got a k&n panel/ cone type filter for little cost, done less than 1000 miles. Warning, the airbox is in a weird place tucked by the drivers side wheel well. John johnyardley@bigfoot.com
  17. Hi, I think you misunderstand - nobody claimed 140 bhp on this forum. I heard this else where I thought they might be a member here best wishes John
  18. Oh, such cynics A dutch company have used a lupo 1.2 tdi engine in a motorcycle and have extraced 120 bhp and 250 lb/ft torque. So that's an output of 100 bhp per litre. If your interested go to www.startwin.com and click on the thunderstar link. John
  19. It's not just a remap. You need hybrid turbo, upgraded manifold etc etc. BUT IT'S EASILY ATTAINABLE ! Take a look at their site www.allardmotorcompany.co.uk
  20. No, not petrol diesel. Diesel aircraft engines are reported to run at up to 10,000 (thousand) rpm! +Aug 25 2005, 11:08 AM--> QUOTE(one litre wonder style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> @ Aug 25 2005, 11:08 AM)thats a petrol engine , the 1.4Tdi i am sure is only a 3 cylinder and not to mention he hasnt got an uprated turbo , just NOS a remap and an exhaust ans thats all <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  21. Hi, Yes I think 140 bhp, or 100 bhp a litre is attainable. For example, Allards can get 245 bhp from a 1.9tdi pd150. AMD can extrace 220bhp from a 2.0 pd140. What is the spec. of the standard tubo, is it a vnt15? Hybrid turbo, I take the standard turbo comes with manifold attached so I wondered if half of a v6 manifold/ turbo would fit. Also, it may be possible to fit uprated injectors? Also, you would need to fit fmic in place of the side mounted intercooler. Is the gearbox the same as the pd100 engine. If so it should be able to cope with around 280-300 lb/ft torque? Best wishes John
  22. Hi I hear stories of a vastly modified lupo tdi outputting around 120-140 bhp and 250 lb/ft. ANyone hear heard similar please. Best wishes John
  23. Hi, The guys at Briskoda would like to invite lupo/ arosa drivers to rolling road day. For information copy and paste link: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/showthread....9897#post359897 Some of you might have met me at Stealth in the depths of Winter. Best wishes John Yardley
  24. Hi, If they make one for my fabia tdi pd100 and you will allow it iam up for a bmc kit? Cheers johnyardley@bigfoot.com
