  1. I removed the rear badge from my Lupo a couple of months ago in order to smooth the boot lid but no I don't have the time or money to go through with it. So now I've bought a nice little Passat badge to fit in the recess but now I'm not sure as to what to use to stick it securely in place. Any Ideas on what to use and where to get it from?
  2. Okay, So I got a new standard back box for my car the other day but when I came to fit it, I found a hole in the centre box and the joining pipe that fits on to the back box is rusted. So now I'm looking for a centre box aswell. Because I do not have much money at all, can someone point me in the direction of a new centre box? My MOT's coming up soon so I need it pretty sharpish.
  3. Very clean lupo mate. Can I ask where you got those rear lights from?
  4. Hah, that's what I thought of when I saw the thread title.
  5. I think I saw one in the Marketplace forum.
  6. I took mine off to get a better look at it. The teeth are on the badge, one at the very centre top and two towards the bottom. They are pretty sturdy but I wouldn't recommend just tearing it off but you will have to push the teeth pretty hard.
  7. Yeah, three little teeth that need squeezing and it just pops out nicely.
  8. Does anyone know how much a drivers side indicator would cost?
  9. I thought it was about time I started a thread after having The Wolf for nearly two years. These pictures are from the ebay page I bought it from: Then there's some more I took today. I got the bonnet re-sprayed last weekend after filling the badge cut out myself: The badge recess is going to be smoothed. I have cut the plate now I just need to weld it in place and smooth it all out Notice the drivers side indicator? Can anyone tell me how to get hole of one of these. I can't seem to find one anywhere. Suspension is on it's way and so are these Enzo's... just waiting for the rubber...
  10. I think that's one of the nicest Lupos I've seen on here.
  11. Yeah, I'm definately going to weld it. I cut and shaped the plate at work today. If anyone has done this themselves can they tell me if they cut the recess out at the first or second step? or do you cut the recess out at all? I only ask because I'm getting advice from about three different people who say they know the best way to do it.
  12. I think I shall weld a plate there. Luckily my Dad's a welder! Score! Cheers boys! I should start a thread and post my progress.
  13. After succesfully filling and smoothing my own bonnet, I want to smooth the badge recess on my boot. Has anyone done this themselves? My brother is adamant that I need to weld a plate over the recess and then smooth it whereas I think it would be best to just fill it with body filler seeing as it's such a shallow recess.
  14. Word. But not the roof. Gold wheels on a Red or Dark Blue car look good. Shiny gold leaf roof though? Nah.
  15. Well, is he good or is he ****?
  16. Not meaning to hi-jack your thread or anything but this may help you also. Has anyone else had trouble fitting that semi circular bonnet piece? I really don't think mine fits. Any ideas/suggestions on how to make it look half decent before I get it smoothed and sprayed?
  17. Use a star screwdriver bit. I did mine this weekend. Undo the two screws on top and take the bottom grille piece off. I had to take the indicators off too because there's a clip on my new grille that slots in there. The rest are normal clips you can just pull out/push in.
  18. Check out what I've just bought at a ridiculously low price.... ENZO'S!
  19. Soon I shall be smoothing my Lupo's tushie. I've already taken off the Lupo badge and the 16V badge and am about to take the chunky VW badge off. I'm aware there's a recess (?) but is there any pin holes that need filling, so I can save time and get everything I need now? Also, Is it possible to spray parts of the bodywork without having to re-spray the whole fricking lot? I've also got a deep scratch on the front bumper that needs sorting. Has anyone done it this way before? Does it look okay? Any help would be good.
  20. I was only considering using Golf coilovers because they were good quality (Blistein) and at a good price. I've found some on ebay. (Always sounds ominous.) They're TA Technix. Does anyone know if they're any good?
  21. 6 BLOODY EPISODES! That's pathetic! That's not a series! Seriously, the BBC needs to pump more funding in to sending Clarkson, Hammond and May to weird parts of the world and get them to do stupid things with cars. Top Gear = Entertainment. My Family = Crap.
  22. Does anyone know if they'll fit? I've found a set of coilovers that are for a Golf Mk3 and was just wondering.
  23. How many episodes were in this series? Didn't seem like many to me....
  24. Any news on your car? I've been having the exact same problem. (Raspy exhaust noise, low idle.) I was driving to Bradford-on-Avon and it cut out on me as I was changing to second from third at a roundabout. Luckily, I noticed the car had stalled while I had my foot on the clutch so I was able to roll out of the way. Has changing the fuel filter helped at all?
