  1. if you can stretch (no pun intended) to 185/35r17 nankangs, mytyres have them in stock. pretty cheap too, about £50 each i think.
  2. Plus it would be a bit sad if I had an Inari Silber Derby and she had an Inari Silber Polo sad? mate that would be cool! ive got a black arosa 16v, my missus wants one of the pastel coloured 1 litre models, we're gonna do matching mods! ok maybe it is a bit geeky!
  3. sale fell through at the last minute got a few people interested, i would like it to go to a good home really. would be nice to see it in the hands of hoopty tech garages!
  4. i own a 52 reg arosa 16v sport... i like elements of arosas and lupos - i definitely prefer the front end of the arosa, headlights are much better than lupo units, and i also like the cleaner look of the wing/bonnet line from the side (the fact that lupo bonnets kind of wrap over the wing makes the front end look to high and chunky for me) regarding the rear - i prefer the smaller non-wrap around rear screen of lupos, so i would like to put a lupo tailgate on my arosa but keep the cool seat badge/handle thing. much prefer lupo lights too, not really a fan of the arosa clusters. still, Arosa for the win!
  5. pedal box failure? clutch needs adjusting? gearbox failure?
  6. @ heartagram - been at home for the weekend, was going to try my mates 17s with 205/40s on my arosa but he wasnt around.... so i didnt. oops.
  7. i think the 'correct' tyres will probably be 165/40r16 nankangs
  8. think im going to *play it safe* and go for 7x16 porsche 928 wheels (machined to look like 16" Pslots) et52, so with 15mm adapters, should sit perfectly. still going to try the 17s so ill get some pics up after the weekend.....
  9. @ heartagram... my mate has a set of 7.5x17s with 205/40s that im going to try on my arosa this weekend, ill get some pics to give you an idea. if they fit, im sure you'll be fine with 165/35s!
  10. photoshop? possibly. those wheels dont look skinny whether they are 17s or 18s, but the fronts look pretty tucked. hmm. whatever, it still looks amazing! i love that paint!
  11. can you get a pic anyway please mate? im considering 928s for my arosa, would like to see how 16s sit in the arches.
  12. a few pics - http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436151487/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436150843/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436968714/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436968008/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436967244/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436966710/ as you can see, 2 wheels are mint, 1 wheel has very light curbing on the edge of the lip, 1 wheel has similar lip curbing and light curb scuffs on the leading edge of 2 of the spokes. for sale soon, can be immediate as i have another set to go on. PM, medium2rare25@yahoo.co.uk cheers, Mike.
  13. cheers guys. wheels will go to the highest bidder obviously.
  14. what are the right tools? anything special that im not likely to have at home?
  15. a few pics - http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436151487/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436150843/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436968714/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436968008/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436967244/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/12261270@N04/2436966710/ as you can see, 2 wheels are mint, 1 wheel has very light curbing on the edge of the lip, 1 wheel has similar lip curbing and light curb scuffs on the leading edge of 2 of the spokes. could be easily sanded out and repainted, very superficial marking, hardly even touched the metal. tyres (all 195/45r15) - fronts are Roadstone N3000 with approx 6mm tread, 1 rear is a Dunlop SP Sport with approx 4.5mm tread, 1 rear is a Runway Enduro 916 with approx 8mm tread (brand new, done about 50 miles) ive been told £250 - £300, so best offer in that region secures. for sale soon, can be immediate as i have another set to go on. PM, medium2rare25@yahoo.co.uk cheers, Mike.
  16. thats crazy!! this might be a strange question, but do tyre pressures have to increase as the profile gets lower? you know, does a 165/50r15 need a higher pressure than a 205/50r15? im thinking along the lines of bicycle tyres - a fat mountain bike tyre will run about 30psi but a super skinny road bike tyre sometimes requires over 100psi.
  17. ah, im in southend, essex. bit far! cheers anyway. coils have been ordered today, ill get some pics up when they are fitted.
  18. cool little car, didnt know you could get the sports in that colour. seats look funky!
  19. cool, ill go for TA then. where abouts are you? im hoping someone with experience of fitting these coils will help me to fit mine (in exchange for beer tokens, obviously) ive heard people saying they have removed X, left out Y, modified Z etc to get the coils to sit lower, but i dont want to pull my car apart to find i dont know what im doing
  20. car is looking superb matey, not usually a fan of chequered roofs etc but it looks cool on here. i know we have talked about this before - did you say you are running TA Technix coils? im going to order some soon, if you recommend them ill probably go for TA over FK. didnt realise FKs were so expensive compared to TA.
  21. i think its called Auction Stealer, you put in your maximum bid, state a time when you would like your final bid to be placed, and just let it get on with it. its not guarunteed, obviously someone could out bid your highest bid, but you have less chance of getting beaten by a few pence in an auction! mirror blanking plates - would these fit an arosa (mk2) too? i really want some, was going to make my own but if they are available off the shelf.... any ideas where from? and how much?
  22. anyone know where this picture came from? and if they are passat w8 winters? did a search but nothing came up.
  23. found an arosa on 17s... its on Cardomain, not sure of the link but if you google image search 'modifed seat arosa' i think its the first thing that comes up. the guy reckons its lowered 120 mm but it still looks a bit tall.
  24. fair enough. thats hardcore northerners for you!
  25. £110 ? thats super cheap! my mate got a recon box for his mk4 16v polo, im sure that was about £400 or something?
