  1. Hey people im in need of a little help , As the title says really, im thinking of selling the lupo in the near future and im not really sure what she's worth. I understand that at the current time with the worlds moneys being the way they are that this isnt ideal but im feelin abit of a change, you know when its time? I was thinkin of putting her up for 3500, but let me know what you guys think? Hers a quick run down: 1.4 16v sport (AUB) 2001 (51) red 46000 11months tax 4 months mot Usual spec, tim and tom interior, electric windows, electric mirrors, pas, dual air bags, later style dash (alot nicer in my opinion), original tape player/radio with cd player below, fog lights etc. Since i have owned the car (12months) It was serviced at 40000 miles with included oil and oil filter, fuel filter and also had the cambelt change (cambelt kit) At 42000 the clutch was changed (complete kit) Also the relief bearing sleeve was also replaced. She will also be having a service in the next 2 weeks. Now the mods: Interior is completly original apart from i have swaped the coi tray and cup holder around. PIMP LOL Engine: STANDARD AIR BOX AND ALL PIPE WORK REMOVED, REPLACED WITH PIPERCROSS VIPER INDUCTION KIT. RACELAND 4 BRANCH STAINLESS STEEL MANIFOLD (PORTS OPENED UP TO MATCH HEAD AND ALL EXCESS MATERIAL REMOVED FROM), STAINLESS HIGHFLOW SPORTS CAT, CUSTOM STAINLESS CATBACK EXHAUST, Chassis: FK KONIGSPORT COILOVERS, H&R STUD ADAPTERS, PORSCHE TELEDIALS WITH BLACK GRAPHITE CENTRES AND DIAMOND CUT LIPS, Exterior: AERO REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE OFF A MK5 POLO., AERO WIPER BLADES FITTED TO THE FRONT, DEBADGED AT REAR (LUPO AND 16V), REAR VW BADGED BLACK WITH RED BACKGROUND, RUBBING STRIPS REMOVED, SHORT ALLOY BEE STING ARIAL, FK DEBADGED GRILL (BONNET WELDED SKIMMED AND PAINTED), FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS SMOOTHED AND COLOUR CODED. I think thats everything (Probably not tho) The only bad points i can see with the car is a few chips on the front bumper and in some light you can see were the bonnet has been filled but both of these are hardly noticeble and if you were that maticulous very inexpensive to rectify. Since owning the car i have spent over £3000 on her. so heres quite few pics (a few older ones too) it would be geat if you could let me know what you think.
  2. yeh the actuall work carried out was is quite high quality apart from my engine management light came on the other day, plugged her in "lambda 1 slow response time", i had a look at the new wiring and the gauge of the wire they have used is far to thick and is causing too much resistance. There is a definate improvement in throttle response and there is alot more torque lower down in the revs so she pulls alot better. they charged me just shy of £700
  3. Hey people, i sent my car to the body shop last week to have a few bits done, the main one was that the passenger door had been resprayed at some stage in its life and i found this out when i removed the rubbing strips (2 black lines the length of the door where the laquer had sealed in dirt). I had the door resprayed and the side of the car flashed ove to blend in the new paint, i had a dent pulled from the passenger wing (previos owner, no matter how small a car is, if you cant drive dont drive!) I had a debadged grill fitted, bonnet welded skimmed and painted, I also had both bumpers smoothed and resprayed. I am very happy with the work done at the body shop. Unfortunatly i am not so happy with the work carried out at mij performance on my underside, you can read the full story here. clicky Heres some pics, let me know what you think. THANKS.
  4. Hey guys ive just got back from mij, yes the building and the vehicles around it are impressive. If i had asked them to fit a straight forward cat back then im sure it would have been fine but unfortunatly i also wanted a high flow cat and raceland 4 branch fitting which seemed a little to hard for them. There first problem was that the manifold hit on the sump, which we all know and i had previously told him (must have slipped his mind ). He then he wuldt be able to heat it and bend it cus it would restrict the flow!, so they would have to cut the manifold, re-align it and weld it back up. Second problem he said that the lambda holes were wrong, that they were both to far away (i had also said to him before that the lambda wires my need extending) and i had to tell him that the so called second lambda hole was actually for an egr, which he said he could'nt blank off because no plates were supplied, so i said just weld it up! I then went to the waiting room and nobody started work on my car for about half an hour and when they did there was 3 of them and they all looked about 15 and seemed like they hadnt got a clue! I then walked down into town to kill a few hours and when i came back once again nobody was working on it and not a great deal seemed to have been done, In the end it took nearly 7 HOURS!! and they pulled my pants down over ther price I AM NOT VERY HAPPY.
  5. Thanks guys you have filled me with confidence, and am now looking forward to tomorrow and not worrying about letting them loose on her.
  6. hey guys, As title states really. I was just wondering if anybody had ever had any work done by them and could let me know what they are like as i have just booked in for an exhaust with them. thanks

  10. Hey guys, i spent yesterday painting my rear badge and cleaning my car so i thought id share a few pics with you now that shes clean, let me know what you think.
  11. Yes but only slightly, as you can se from the bottom picure.
  12. Hey guys, the rattling from inside the coin tray/cup holder (under dash type) has been driving me crazy for a while now so yesterday i set about the task of sorting it and it seems to have worked i have done a few miles to day and no rattles so far. Also while i was there i thought id swap over the cup holder and coin tray as i always use the coin tray to hold my parking ticket but never use the cup holder. I thought id write this up incase any body else was thinking of attempting the same, its simple enough but here it is any way. Before, Firstly undo the 2 retaining screws underneath, these are t20 torx heads, and pull towards you to remove the hole unit. If you are just wanting to just swap the units over then all you have to do is relese these 4 catches while applying pressure to the ends to slide out the tray and cupholder as shown below, but if you are wanting to get rid of the rattles then it may be easier to do this later. If you apply pressure any where inside the tray it will creak this is because it is all made up of plastic components which touch each other, for this reason i decided to seperate all of the components and start again. To do this i used a flat blade screw driver and heated it up on the cooker but a soldering iron would work the same id imagine, when the screw driver was red hot i carefully removed all of the melted plastic retaing the cage to the tray. With the plastic removed i ran a stanley knife around them and with a little amount of force you can remove the cage from the tray. I then removed the coin tray and cup holder and it easier to handle. With everything seperated i used some craft felt (the stuff you used to make cards when you were younger) cut up into strips, and some super glue to stop the rattles. I stuck a thin srip on the tray where the cage makes contact in the centre (sorry no pic). Then place the cage back into the tray and while applying pressure down, melt the plastic back in every place possible even where vw had'nt done before. I then placed a large strip of felt to the cage where it may make contact with the dashboard. Insert the cup holder and coin tray back in and stick 2 more pieces of felt where they may touch the dash. I then placed a large strip of felt across the bottom of the tray where it touches the under dash pocket. And then refit in the car. Hope this is a help to some one.
  13. Hi, the adapters came with the wheels, but the link below shows the same, spacer 1 sory i couldnt be of more help. Cheers pal.

  20. HEY EVERYONE, This is my red 51 plate lupo sport, i bought her about 4 months ago as a standard loop. I have been slowly making some subtle changes such as: aero blades debaging (black vw badge) removal of rubbing strips pipercross viper induction kit lowered on fk konigsports sitting on a set of freshly refurbed teledials with diamond cut lip and black centre wraped in 4 avon zv3's Also in the pipeline is the fitting of a raceland 4 to 1, which has been hand fettled to remove any unneccesary material and restrictions, along with that i am also having a full stainless system with highflow sports cat made up and fitted. The list goes on but im sure you all now what its like, we all have the ideas it just comes down to the moneys. Here's a few pics let me know what you guys think. when i bought her here she is at the minute (a little bit dirty i took the yesterday when i got back from ud's)
