  1. ....on my GTI has gone so wierd. if you press it lightly (not enought to actually compress it) it makes a squeaky clicky noise like theres something not tightened up properly or something.... then if you compress it, sometimes u have to push the pedal further to get the brakes sometimes only a bit and they start to come on..... also, when the pedal returns after braking it doesnt go all the way back up, it looks like it has but if u pull it it then clicks the very last bit back to the full 'up' position. obviously im aking it to VW but just wondered if theres any ideas what might be going on? my mates focus did a similar thing but more exaggerated and was just the pin that holds the brake pedal 'arm' was out fo place...... help?
  2. even so, if you think of who theyre really trying to sell these things to its make sense to produce a road legal version - or at least an adapter like this custom built one.
  3. itd be perfect there cos it leads to a little hole in the grill on the rh side so once the car goes forward theres loads of air going directly into the filter. curious how its fixed at the non samco'd end though?
  4. the person that wrote that probably drives a 7 year old, slightly faded and rattly, `5-door` ford fiesta.
  5. yeah sorry, i read it but didnt really take in what u said!!! its a good idea. just thought if the polo's the same itd be a quick swap without the hassle of locating and spraying another part
  6. um....yeah thanks. i know what it is.....what i probably shouldve explained better is that as i think the stubby driver mirror looks better so im thinking of swapping the stubby one from the polo to my lupo and vice versa.... but before i start taking things apart I just wondered if anyone knows if the colour wil be the same (it looks it) and if `re-fitting` the different mirrors to the different cars will be straight forwards.
  7. just noticed today that my folks' 1.0 polo has a stubby driver side wing mirror (to match the passenger side) but eventhough its electric im wondering; - will it be an easy swap (whats involved?) - will it be the same colour!? (W reg polo/54 plate lupo - both silver)

    Rear end mod?

i like the exhaust - prefer just a single each side though, r32 style. lights - no window sticker thing - no also like the stubby aerial i think there will be more of these appearing on new cars and will eventually replace the current '`bee-sting`' type.

    Hmmm...

i want one! where and how?
  10. nah but people (like me) r always trying to shift 2nd hand ones. the throttle body end is a perfect fit, other diameter will have to post on here when i find out
  11. i didnt mean to say that to criticise the amount u spent, just that custom bit looks like the section of this piperx one. its doable..... border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" />
  12. ok i had an arosa sport and now have a gti and still think the arosa wins in the looks dept. they have 15inch 5 spokes (v nice), decent interior with a couple of touched the lupos (GTI included) dont have and are fantastic cars. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" />
  13. i think i could make that by hacking up my pipercross induction kit!
  14. also noticed in PVW cost of FK's has come down a bit from venom - £379 now for highsport, I think £519 for Konigs - both with delivery included. to me thats a decent price for a recognised brand (instead of 'Supersport' and the like).
  15. yeah just tell them on the phone u want a quote but havent bought the car yet, youll just have to make up a year and tell them the model etc. im 23 mines £630 but hoping to go under £500 on renewal in August
  16. every 5k, 10k...whenever you get a vw service?............never?
  17. QUOTE(tdwindustries)QUOTE(DanGTI)sorry to repeat the same as everyone else but spoiler isnt for me but curious how much did it cost??also, @everyone else - ok the wings a bit '`fool-in`-`a-cap`' styling for most people on here but shouldnt we try to encourage not scare off other lupo drivers? just a thought. Dan arent you the one who slammed a users choice of 1.7 SDi recently?? LOL sorry that cars shocking, but others have shocked me in the past if I am honest like i said, i must have been having an off day when i was 'being nice' on this post......ok so the spoiler is crap, it looks stupid and I hate it.....happy now? ....and whats wrong with SDI's? how about having to book a week in advance if you want to hit 60mph? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

    Coilover deal

found a really good mechanic who can fit, adjust and sort the tracking / camber for £60! (did my oil change 2day for £10!)..... just need some coilovers now.....
  19. for £40 this looks a nice toy. its on my want list. edit: just thinking, whats involved in connecting these up? is it a really tricky job?
  20. my brakes are the best ive had on any car and think will be really sorted with some better pads and maybe discs
  21. DanGTI

    yay, noise again!

yeah i did change my tune there - that was me trying to convince myself i didnt really want to fit the pipercross (cos im too tight to pay the extra ££ on my insurance)....it really is a good kit....only thing with induction kits is u realise how much better made the oe airbox and stuff is when you put it back to normal. will get a bmc one day......maybe
  22. i think a slightly bigger wing would really set it off.....or maybe another smaller wing fixed on top of that one
  23. DanGTI

    Coilover deal

thats for the konigsport (adjustable damping ones)
  24. DanGTI

    yay, noise again!

feels slower without the pipercross.....not fussed about induction kits now, had a blast with the engine noise (fun for a day or two) then the novelty wore off and now ijust find it irritating and looks really silly a tiny car making that noise.
