It did take some searching but found them from mytyres.co.uk, they come direct from germany I think. They do a 165/55 aswell

It wasnt the arches that were causing the problem, the subframe was getting knocked quite abit and i even caught it on a cats-eye

I did prefer the alleycats but it was just too low bloody speedbumps and potholes lol

Seen as though it wasnt raining today ive got the new wheels on Heres some pics I think it could do with going a tad lower but the adjusters are already out the rear Might have a play with the front tomorrow.

Thought id make a little thread up seen as Ive had the car for around 7 or 8 months How it started off with the alleycats and coilovers These soon came off as the car just sat way too low, looked good but not practical at all so I got hold of a set of GTI wheels with nearly new tyres. The rear 2 were badly scuffed and not just around the outer rim but they were at a good price so wasnt too bothered. (not the best quality pic but hey) Thats how its been since april as i spent the money for wheels on cambelt change and clutch. A few weeks ago I brought a set of 14x7 5 spoke wheels which look very similar to borbet t's and got them refurbed in vw reflex silver Then was the hard bit of sourcing tyres I wanted 155/55's as the offset was rather low on the wheels and they did have abit of poke but nowhere in the uk could get hold off them so I had to order them from the net. 3 days later they were here awaiting fitting £20 later and all 4 were fitted and balanced Good bit of stretch lol Just need to get them on now Ill update with some pics when theyre on.

Yh about £15, im off work till monday so can check then for you thn if you want?

I work in a cycle shop atm You carnt get them separate unfortunatly so itll be a new shifter matey Are you from stoke-on-trent???

Same happened with mine a few months ago, i did as above and gave the top of the clocks a slight hit untill it bounced back down.

Ive just brought some 14x7 5 spoke wheels, very similar to steffans and was wondering what a 155/55 tyre would look like streched on them Has anyone done or seen this? Wha do you recon to the idea?

Was me running alleycats on the sport Angle grinder worked fine, not sure how much was taken off but id say about 4 or 5mm.

Ill be coming miss'd last years. dont think ill be camping over though as im workin on the sat

My sport seems to be doing the exact same my dipsticks firmly pushed down so it clips and i give it a wipe every now and again but it always comes back.

My sport varies from 39mpg on a run to 28mpg when putting my foot down lol

ahh get the picks up mate im looking at these as my ta technics are seized solid, plus i want sumthing with abit better ride quality

Ive spoke to the service manager who agreed to refund me the money for the parts that were replaced aslong as i bring the reciept so i went down to them and she woulnt refund it because its wear and tear items so yet again i kicked off as she'd just said that they'd refund it, in the end shes had the parts that i replaced along with a photocopy of the receipts to show her manager and seeif he'll refund them (i made sure she signed a bit of paper saying i left them with her to cover me). She was supposed to ring me back today but suprise suprise ive heard nothing im just going to go down on monday and demand to see the brand manager (head guy there) and take it up with him.
