  1. Tge heads were thay rusty they literally rounded straight off and I was using the correct size driver too mate they were jusy ****ed. It's been in for cam belt doing today (still on original belt at 17 years old) and my pal has managed to get em cracked off for me so should be sound for doing the service tomorrow bow. Cheers for your help mate I never though of epoxy il remember that as iv loads of it in the shed
  2. Done it cheers mate spent 20 minutes sweating at it by myself then got a mate to locate the spring whilst I 0ushed the paddle down. Easy lol
  3. Hi we had an issue with my wife's old polo, the drivers door wouldn't lock with the key so had to use the passenger door. I had the paddle replaced at volksworx in leeds for about 30 quid. We've just bought an old arosa and it seems to have the issue (key jusy spinning all the way round and not operating the lock) so iv ordered the part myself off ebay for the grand total of 4 quid. Just wondering if anyone knows of a guide I can check before I start? From what I remember it seemed pretty straight forward and I know what to do once the handles off but still would like some reassurance before I start taking locks apart. Thanks
  4. I have the same issue on mine, do all the screws need to come out the air box to get to the plugs? Mine are all rusted
  5. Hi just bought an old r reg 1.0 mpi arosa and it's due a service. Only issue is from what I can see the air box requires removing to get to the plugs? Also seems that the air box needs unscrewing to open it to change the panel filter? Well, all these screws are rusted to s**t and just seem to be roundin off :/ anyone go any tips to get them out or possibly d the service without unscrewing them maybe? Thanks in advance
  6. Hi I'm an old member from several years ago, I think my old name was si_leeds but could be wrong and I can't remember any of my old log in details. I used to have a mk1 seat arosa sport in blue, which met it's death around 3 years ago with a catastrophic engine failure and ended up having be stripped. I'm sure a few of the old members are currently running my old parts as most of it was sold on here! Just bought another mk1 arosa but just a 1.0 for the wife to get to work and back a few times a week. R reg with 51k and 12 months mot for 500 quid
