  1. Time for an update. Decided to get the drive shafts professionally made and while i was waiting for them i decided to fit a sub and amp in the boot, drive shafts have been powder coated and are ready to fit, sub and amp still needs wiring up but ill sort all the wiring at once also fitted the battery in the wheel well using the golf battery tray
  2. Wilwood do a kit not that cheap though http://www.kamracing.co.uk/vw-lupo-wilwood-brake-kit-280mm.html
  3. also brought this liitle gem 74k 3 owners, clutch had gone and caused pedal box to break so after a few hours of fettling its back on the road and will be up for sale in the near future after a service mot and new timing belt and a very good clean.
  4. small update, g60 callipers and carriers arrived unfortunatly the callipers were completly shoy nipples were seized pistons were very corroded so recon calipers were ordered and painted eventualy got the correct size discs also got the wheels refurbed and i think they look good against the yellow and finally made a start on the exhaust, oh and after a bit or reserch decided to get the drive shafts custom made but still waiting for those to return.
  5. radiator upgraded, didnt realise the gti rad was that much bigger only £30 aswell.
  6. lupo gti hubs have arrived, still waiting on the G60 calipers and carriers also got the lupo gti beam and rear brakes all cleaned up and painted also made a start on the cooling system unfortunately the golf radiator is just to big so hopefully the lupo one will give enough cooling
  7. I've got some light grey and yellow ones and a complete interior, carpets door cards trim etc £80 collected from DY51QA or £120 delivered, I can put some pics on tomorrow if your interested
  8. you sound like my Mrs, "u can only drive one at a time " but I've got a mk5 golf gt tdi, a bg5 subaru legacy gtb a kangoo van with a clio 172 lump and the lupo, you can never have too many
  9. Also won these on ebay they need a refurb and colour change but once the coilovers are on ill be happy I've also got some g60 front calipers and carriers to come for the front brake upgrade so more pics to follow soon hopefully
  10. Thanks for the comments everyone, ive been on holiday so not got much done last couple of weeks but while i was away a few goodies arrived, Gti rear beam complete with rear brakes also replaced the bushes with powerflex ones and had to order some new back plates as they were rotten, still waiting for those to arrive as they were on back order
  11. another small update, been very busy at work but managed to get the interior swapped over and it looks loads better also made a start on the drive shafts.
  12. removed the steering columb so i could remove the pedal box, the complete clutch pedal from the golf bolts straight in just had to make a third mounting point for it even the pipe from the resevoir to the master cylinder fits then it was on to the accelerator pedal firstly i tried fitting the position sensor to the original lupo pedal but wasnt happy with the outcome so i made a bracket for the golf pedal to mount onto the lupo pedal box, and my new 2nd hand trim arrived with the golf seats fitted the light grey trim just looks out of place it needs a good clean before fitting though. Engine stabaliser finished its actually made from a transit rear anti roll bar link
  13. got chance to have a little play again today (wish these customers would stop bringing their cars in and let me build ) managed to sort out the gear linkage out and gave the engine bay a quick clean so i could seal the welds and prime ready for paint. also got the pedals out the golf look like the cluthch pedal wil fit straight in and ill just have to modify the lupo pedal box but the accelorator might take a bit more jiggery pokery, ill let the pics say the rest hopefuly i can get the clutch and accelorator pedals sorted tomorrow and then its onto driveshafts and wiring, think i need a beer
  14. yes not a lot of room left, the exhaust is going to be tight to get in but I'm pleased with the progress so far probably got around 20 hours labour in it so far
  15. bit more done again today got all the mounts sorted other than having some aluminium spacers made (just used some steel tube for now) but its in ill let the photos do the talking
  16. we playing hangman now? I'll have a S
  17. to get clearance on the sump and the diff on the sub frame the engine needs to be as far to the o/s as i can get and ill be putting a strut brace from the o/s suspension strut to the front of the leg and their wouldnt be room for this on the n/s
  18. so i managed to get a bit more done on the lupo today, got the engine and box out and offered up the V5 and as i thought i have had to cut into the chassis leg. engine is still sat on axle stands but managed to get the front end back on and lined up and the bonnetet even shuts here a few photos of todays progress the heat shield was taking a lot of room around the back of the engine so it was removed and the manifold was wrapped
  19. I have a few photos of the build, it was a lot easier than this build will be tho pretty much bolts straight in
  20. yes me too, there will be a lot of fabrication involved and ill also be tapping members up for info on other mod like best brake upgrades ect like will the gti rear beam fit a 1.0 I know the front is a wider track but is the rear as well?
