  1. I disconnected the battery, waited a couple of minute then re connected it, this cleared both faults...brake light came on with the handbrake up as it should.Sadly only a temporary fix, fault with flashing faint brake light has now returned, but so far the rev counter has returned to normal, booked to see an auto electrician on Friday

  2. The earliest Lupo's are now 15 years old, what sort of mileages are these cars achieving, my Arosa Sport is up to 122k, is 13 years old and flew through both MOT and emissions test the week before last. Last week my sons 1.4, Lupo 75 bhp also passed both MOT and emissions test though its gases figures weren't as good, it has just short of 80k on the clock. Has anyone hit 200k yet, I don't see why not with a galvanised carcass, brakes and suspensions and even interiors that are easily swapped the only limitations are engines and g/boxes

  3. Anyone got any thoughts/advice on this, I've bought a set complete with seals and interior cover but it doesn't look as if I can fit this to my Sport as it doesn't seem to have the holes in the interior metal work, there are holes on the B pillar but these don't have captive nuts so they would need the rivet type. Is this an impossible task?

  4. Lots of cash for a VAG diagnostic, I have an EPC light showing and briefly yesterday an emissions light also showing. A plug in by my local auto electrician shows no fault despite the EPC light. I have had emissions issues with a Focus ST170 in the past and my MOT tester recommended a dose of "cat cleaner" [from any motor factor.] I used this 2 years running and it really does work. This is, at under £20 a quick fix and if your car only does short runs the most likely issue rather than anything major, its certainly something I will use in the week before my next MOT. The other thing to look at if there is an air/fuel mismatch is the air filter

  5. The Lupo or the Arosa, I tend towards the Mk2 Arosa as it doesn't look like a flat fish but that look was fairly widespread in German cars of its era, Porsche 911, Mercedes w210, Ford Scorpio, even the BMW Mini
