Nice seat with cutouts for a harness but as the belt clip is one with the frame, a normal belt has been perfectly fine.Stitching coming away slightly as in photo, it is not ripped.

Similar issue but on the drivers door, remote fob opens everything except the drivers door, key for that one, as its an Arosa with no passenger key its not so bad

I'm gonna get roasted here- an old mk2 gti is most definitely superior to a lupo gti. Not as comfy, but out handles a Lupo gti every time. On stock suspension. Lupo wheelbase is too short for good handling at speed. Economy about the same. Parts cost about the same. Cool factor- Mk2 wins every time. I must admit though, the Lupo out accelerates the mk2. More power in a Lupo (just), but about the same weight.

I've had a few mk1 & mk2 Golf GTI'S, the mk1 is overhyped but the mk2 is an exceptional vehicle, my eldest grandson is in the throes of rebuilding his mk2 with a 2 litre 16v motor from a mk3 Golf. I drove it a year or so ago before the modification and despite no power steering it still drives well. The biggest problem for the Lupo gti is always going to be a remapped Lupo tdi.

Not really relevant the golf gti when completely different cars though and a fair bit older?
I'm talking about value for money, Lupo GTI's range from £2500 upwards, you ask 3x the lowest start figure, I just can't see anyone buying at that price

They plan a huge increase in wind farms but there will be times when wind is slack so they can use pump storage, nuclear and stored hydrogen created when there is surplus wind power. Fusion is still theoretical I'm afraid.

The basis of the electric car issue is questionable as there is no recognition of the immense cost of manufacturing the batteries especially when this involves scarce resources like lithium from Bolivia (just recovering from a US organised coup) and rare earth metals excavated by children in the DRC. Plus a battery doesn't last very long, what happens then, do you get a replacement or do you bin the car, I much prefer the use of hydrogen or methane as clean fuel.

What did it cost in the first instance; but even by the standards of cars advertised that have been to Japan its expensive, and its not a first rate car either from the sellers description. As its a hobby no warranty either!

The difference is in the pipework, I think the racks themselves are all the same, the pipework for the TDI is no longer available from dealers, if that's the problem you might get it fixed at Pirtek or you might get a 2nd hand one from a breaker

I'd do the fronts first easier to upgrade them to TDI spec than the rear, probably not worth it either

They don't rust and the rear suspension set up isn't out of the ark, they don't seem particularly robust though

For the money I'd buy a Mini Cooper S, supercharged by the factory but with sublime handling

I had a similar problem with a 1.4 litre, have you checked the oil level in the box as this happens when the level has fallen, it can be as simple as a leak. I have a 5 speed box for a 1.4, not sure if its for a Sport or a regular 16v car or if it would fit your car, free if you want it though.
