  1. it wouldn't drive like this tried to roll the front arch lips out as soon as you tried to turn; jacked it up as much as possible on the suspension by hand and it was just about driveable on a smooth road at a steady 50 other than that rubbing like a b especially at the back once it had fuel in and on any turns at the front thanks for the replies looked at the 195/45 option, not much choice of nice affordable rubber in that size so will go with the 185/55 option as much more common and some good deals to be had on something I'd like to have in contact with the ground, the rims I quite like though so hope it will work with the new tyres

Looks very much like the cheap Technix on the car I just bought
  3. Just bought a Lupo Sport with these spec rims on, the 195/65/14 rubber is too big, the car is on the Technix coilovers but even wound up they rub badly empty I think they have come off a BMW E30 If I go down to 185/55/14 will they fit without rubbing does anyone know for sure even with the ET30 offset which pushes the rim edge out about 17-20mm I calculate I'll be removing and cleaning the front shocks and springs so they can be adjusted a bit more up too Eventually will be going Bilstein Sport set up probably but at the moment just need to get some rubber on that fits and get it through MOT thanks for any help or advice
  4. the www. virtual round is on me, my name is Aidan just got this cheeky little chappie sight unseen punt off the bay of fleas, black messed with stickered up, baseball cap on the wrong way round style been lowered and sat on some fat too big rubber on ET30 6 1/2 14J rims - anyone know for sure if I go down a couple of sizes to 185/55/14 will I be ok with that offset, i figure rim outer edge is 20mm further out than stock there am I right ? some of you may do the whole VW thing inc the campers and may know me off club80-90 forum, I do the gearboxes for VW T25/T3 - this Sport is going to to be cheap fun runabout - maybe rally car funds permitting no pictures till I clean it as it's has about 9 months Grimsby stood grime on it, now it's in sunny Wales, once it's welded and mot'd then it'll get a gleam looking for an engine undertray and alt belt cover for 16V, nearside headlight 2000 MY Halogen standard and a set of five steel rims to suit with or without rubber, pm me if you can help cheers
