Bit of a bump but my Lupo SDI is about to hit 220,000 miles

To update this, The speedo needle would sometimes work but obviously it would be starting in the wrong position then every now and then it would jump a bit closer to 0 and start from there eventually got back round 0 and then worked fine for a month or so but now is in the wrong position again! Cars almost touching 220,000 miles now

Strange fault here, when the fuel light comes on the car is hard to start, not when the fuel is low just when the light comes on any possible causes for this? the car has been very well looked after but is on high mileage, the most annoying part of this is that i can't see how many miles I'm getting from a tank

I have Vagcom (its an old version though) Im fairly sure the problem is the drive on the needle, i guess I'm going to have to take the dials out and open them up, its possible the drive gear has worn out - the cars done 218,000

Something has gone wrong with my speedo, the needle starting going mental going up and down and then it went all the way round and now is resting at a sort of 6 o clock position, the mileage is still going up but the needle doesn't move, has anyone else experienced this problem? how do i fix it?

Hello, i have a Lupo sdi, the egr valve vacuum wasn't connected when i bought it, i have since connected the vacuum up but the car 'appears' to be getting bad fuel economy and since the EGR valve is something that normally clogs up and break anyway i plan on blanking it off. On ebay you can buy this blanking plate - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EGR-Valve-Blanking-Block-Off-Plate-VW-AUDI-SKODA-SEAT-1-7-1-9-2-0-SDI-/321181623003?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ac7eaa2db Am i correct in thinking you unbolt the egr valve and then fit this inbetween the egr valve and where it bolts to? so you keep the EGR valve bolted on but with this blanking plate there to?

Will the SDI box not bolt on to the PD Engine?
