i took about 20 hits in total i guess, little finger has swollen up now, and my back is probably brusied to hell. My friend took one in the thigh, that looked like it hurt :S

yeah thats very true, especially being a work type van. One day when im rich ill drive around in a an old banger then just crash into them and run away muahaha.

I have the feeling even if i didn't take it further i would have gotten crap off him, from now i think ill pull over in a layby and let them just go away in front of me where i can't be annoyed any further. yeah true, but i'm not a person too sit back and take it. I explode into angered outbursts easy if pushed, and this guy just did it for me. If he got out and challenged me, i would have happily give him what he wanted at that moment. I'm not not angered, id be the last person to jump into a fight, its weird really. Or if i were in the wrong I wouldn't act in the same way, id just say sorry. Only 2 blokes in the van though, was a small fiat something. at least now i'm calm, just hope i don't see him again any time soon

There was a lorry and a van behind in the left lane coming off the same exit, no probs again. I was overtaking both van and lorry when the van decided to attempt to pull out, but he seen me and swerved back in again, i didn't think too much of it, just shook my head and thought to myself "check your blind spots mate". Anyway, i overtake and they pull out behind, and give me the finger like I had been int he wrong? WTF? That really pissed me off, so i gave him the finger back and sped off, not too silly fast, but enough to get his ugly mug out of my mirror. Came off my exit and at another round-a-bout behind a BMW and he pulls up next to me, the passenger obviously has a go.. because you know I was wrong.. :/. Put my window down and ask him what he wanted, he replied "i called you a fa##ot"... Told him to F himself.. GRRR, i wish i had of taken the reg, then the next time i seen it, i would have approached the driver and he would crapped bricks. i hate cocks like this, i had done totally nothing wrong yet getting blame of IDIOTs who clearly cannot drive style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> rant over... would the engine run on diesel from over there? I thought new diesel engines were very sensitive. I remember reading an American auto journal about a new micra diesel and all the fuel had to be imported because it wouldn't run on the American stuff.

There wasn't a fuse in 20 i don't think(not 100% though), its just a bog standard radio cassette not a CD player so i dont think there would be one there?. I'll have a check in the morn, too dark now, give myself eye strain. thanks.

Tried to fit my head unit today, but when i went to slot it all in, i didn't notice that clarion decided to put another positive wire coming from the loom which was bare. it touched the cage and has popped something since the original one won't power up any more. I've checked fuse 10, but there was nothing there and fuse 42. It only made the internal light go off when i pulled it out and looked fine. The fuse on my HU its-self is fine, anyone got any ideas? I gave up for now as its too dark and shall take a better look in the morning. nb. I used the search function and it said fuse 42 but that wasn't the case for me. Thanks, Ian

I've tried a search (but couldn't find out what i want), i don't want to thread hijack, but starting a new topic seems pointless. From my understanding, the polo manifold will fit up to the sport head but will need some modification to fit the rest of the exhaust? Ian

Well, the engine check light decided to come on, a week after owning the car. Not my idea of fun. Anyway, took it to the redline 1st and 2nd, then the light came on a bit afterwards. I don't 'hammer' it as such, just redline a gear or two now and again when the road is empty, i generally just putter around. After the light came on, the engine didn't sound or behave any differently at all. Anyway, i took it really easy home, keeping it under 2000 rpm, then took a quick look under the bonnet (for all the good i could do there >_<) and checked the oil which i found to be very low(wish i had of checked it from day 1). So i topped that back up to normal hoping that would have light up the check. After this i took it to my friends to try and get it on his VAG COM but i think my ODB II port is playing up as we got a "can't sync baud rate" error when trying to scan for engine codes, but we could scan other stuff, such as the instrument panel. So whats the best thing to do? Try someone else with VAG COM? or take it to some independent VAG garage (anyone know how much it'll cost, VW quoted my friend £50 just to plug it in!)? I'm hoping it was either the oil or a broken lamba. I've not started up the car today when cold so i'm not sure on the petrol consumption or how it runs..
