I followed the above D I Y and had the problem sorted within 2 hrs. Its a fiddle to get too the window clamp bolts. But once you done that its easy enough Saved me £100 anyway, so thanks very much!

Help anyone.......please! It's slowly getting worse. The lights are now constantly flashing as it locks and unlocks! Getting some pretty funny looks!

LOL I have a horrible feeling mine might go the same way if I take it to the local stealer and the start to rack up ridic charges!

Does anyone know where the CL module is, and isit a pain to diconnect/remove?

Well my remote central locking hasn't worked properly for about 2 years and after trying practically every fix it's now taken a turn for the worst! The alarm now goes off whenever it feels like it (usully at 3 in the morning) an now locks and unlocks individual doors constantly, even when I've locked it! I really don't want to he taking my lupo to the dealer if at all possible, and would rather rip out the facory fit CL and intakk an aftermarket equivelant. Any advice on whether this is possible or any idea on what the problem is to minimize the time that the dealer has her would be great! Thanks Kev

I've had my GTI for nearly 3 years now and from the start i've had electrical problems. Basically, my entire alarm/central locking system doesnt work. The key fob only sets the alarm off and wont lock or unlock anything Ive taken the car to auto sparks and they have told me they dont really know what the problem is and referred me to my local VW dealer. I then got "done over" by them charging nearly 45 quid in labour and 50p parts for a repair on my rear washer jet?!! I need to get this sorted for my own sanity and the fact that i wouldnt get anything for sale of her. Does anyone who have had this sort of problem know of anything i can do, or point me in right direction with dealer who wont violate my wallet! Thanks!

Already got 1! lol cat back atm though.
