  1. My friends at work at the moment so cant get a picture, think we're sorted along the throttle body front, just concerned as to where the little vacuum hose is meant to be attatched to?!
  2. After a little bit of information, My friend has a 1999 Vw Lupo 1.4 16v When she bought the car there was alot of issues with running from cold, changed the air box back to a standard one as somebody had fitted a aftermarket k and n cone, and she took it to a garage where they cleaned out the throttle body and it seemed to help for a bit. however now the car is hunting whilst idling, and will stall if you don't keep the revs high, had a quick look yesterday and it seemed the throttle body is very gunked up again, but also noticed a small pipe not attatched to anything it appears to be a vacumn pipe of sorts, i have a feeling this is meant to be attatched to something? Any ideas where this little pipe is meant to be attatched?! i'm afraid i have no pictures as shes at work currently, my other half has had a look at the throttle body and believes there to be an air leak near the gasket/flange sort of area, so think we might have the throttle body issue sorted, just worried about the stray pipe! any help is much appreciated! steff
  3. Thankyou for your reply, probably going to have to raise it up a bit until new coilovers can be afforded! x
  4. Ebay specials i believe! might be a while before nice ones can be afforded
  5. One thing i have noticed since lowering is that its very bouncy, almost as bouncy as my old mini! does anybody know how to 'cure' this as such? may try bigger wheels with lower profile tyres as currently has some sort of eco tyres on which are very soft and seem to always look flat even with alot of air in!
  6. Helllo :] I got my 1.4 tdi arosa off of ebay, there was one or two on there last time i looked, believe there to be a few on gumtree when i was looking with my mum as she wanted one as soon as she drove mine! sometimes you can find cars in really obscure places, me and my other half have found a few gems in local papers and advertisements in local stores :] hope any of this helps! Steff
  7. Hey :] I'm steff, owner of an arosa s tdi :] hope you have as much fun as i'm having! x
  8. Kes - I have now put a gap to differentiate between having a disease and having a random s on the back of my car, on a lighter note i've always wondered what the s stood for, assumed it was simply because of the interior being a little different!
  9. Bought a Lovely little seat arosa back in may/june, not been massively busy since getting it where i want it to be but here it goes so far! So Far: -Been lowered on coilovers, had to amend the chassis slightly to allow for the drop in height as was getting alot of knocking on both the drive shafts and chassis but put the boyfriend to work and it all seems to be cured now! -Changed the 3 foot long ariel that was on there for a much nicer bee sting. -Straight through stainless steel exhaust, lovingly created by boyfriend! Now sounds like a small tractor (i think in a nice way) -De-badged front grille, which im still not sure about, think i dont like the shiny bits on it! To Do: -Interior, i was thinking mk 1 tt leathers but also exploring other (cheaper) options. -Alot of electrical gremlins to sort, window regulators which only stop working at the most inconvenient of times (like at that bloming car parks where you have to get a ticket) heater switch lights are tempermental, normally come back on with a swift hit! And maybe put a single din stereo in and cupholders instead of the current double din standard issue which is in there now and randomly goes down and up in volume and switches itself off. -Wheels, currently on standard alloys but looking at either ats cups or my stepdad has some lupo gti alloys at his workshop somewhere! -Paint, lots of marks, scuffs and general wear around the whole car, also appears someone used to put their handbag on the roof from the lovely scratches up there, luckily my stepdad has a body repair shop so might try and mop and see if we can get a result if not a full respray might be considered. Any comments or suggestions are gratefully recieved! Pictures not great, must get some more!
  10. Hey :] i'm new here too :] i have a 1.4tdi arosa which is really cheap for my age to insure, ive been driving 1 year and have no no claims and i pay about £590 for the year, the car itself is £30 a year road tax, and does about 390-400 miles to £40 diesel (of course depending on how economical you drive) for a little car which is so cheap to run and insure its very fun to drive! I believe you can get lupos with the same engine :] Only issues i have has have been the electric windows which are tempermental at times, and to me (who's previous car was a slammed 6n polo) the suspension just feels boaty to me although i must admit it does seem to stick to the road very well with my much more confident other half driving! Hope this is of some help to you :]
  11. Well thats a bit scary... The nova was my other half's :]
  12. Hey My name is steff, and i have recently got myself a little arosa which i love to bits! So far all i've got round to doing is changing the aerial, but i have a few things i want to do, any ideas are welcome :]
