Here I have for sale my Black Lupo Gti 2001 1.6 16v, this is the rare and more reliable 5-speed model. These cars have a huge following and are becoming increasingly rare! The milage currently sits at 105,000 which is low for a car of this age, it has been my pride and joy for the time I have owned it and I will be sad to see it go. This is no ordinary lupo and all modifications and upgrades have been made using the highest quality parts. It has been very well looked after and lots of money has been spent. Inside: Electric windows Air conditioning Twin cup holders Original GTI mats Red GTI seatbelts Sony Xplod Head unit Uprated door speakers All of the above work as they should and the interior is very tidy. Outside: OZ racing super tourismo wheels (some kerb marks and one of the centre caps is missing) The paintwork is very clean and shiny and looks great in the sun, paint code - L041 The VW and GTI badges have been finished in purple (looks great) The windows are tinted (front and back) Full HID headlamps and side lights On the whole the body work is very tidy, there are a couple of imperfections including a few stone chips on the bonnet and a small scuff on the passenger side rear quarter but this is to be expected on a car of this age. Performance mods: BMC CDA Air filter Long life stainless steel cat back exhaust (sounds amazing) Lowered on high quality coil overs Golf Gr60 brakes This is a brilliant example of the lupo GTI and it is very mechanically sound, starts first time every time and drives like a dream with no unusual knocks or bangs. It is also very quick and lots of fun to drive. 6 months tax 12 months MOT Full service history Since I have owned this car the following work has been carried out; New check straps on both doors New coil pack, plugs and leads Full service - July 2013 New gear box and clutch fitted See classified section for pics, £2900 Ono Sold as seen Any questions text me - 07590635644 Thanks for looking Ash

Hi, I currently drive a Lupo GTI 2001 5-speed model, a couple of months ago I replaced the gear box with a 2nd hand one due to having a problem with 3rd gear, now just recently the same problem has occurred on the new box where it will only ever go into 3rd gear when going from 2nd to 3rd, if I try to change down at all from say 4th to 3rd it just will not going into gear at all! So frustrated and before I go out and get a new gear box again I need some advice as to what the problem may be? Any advice is welcomed, thanks -
Thanks! Do I have to go directly to Volkswagen?

I have a black lupo GTI 2001 model, and I noticed today that the drivers side headlamp washer cover was missing. I want to get this replaced ASAP however I can not seem to find the party anywhere, can anybody point me in the right direction? The part***

Ok so I have trawled through the site for info on this and I think I am gonna go for the Ashley 4-1 manifold, will my garage be able to fit this to my GTI easily enough? As I have read that it is not a direct fit, seems like a good product for the money though

I won't be doing it myself mate I don't have the skill or know how! I would pay a mechanic to do it for me but I just wonder if it is possible, how much time and money would be involved and also if anyone knows any places who could do this for me?

Hi, I am thinking about sticking a turbo on my lupo GTI and I just wondered if anyone could help or advise me on where I could go to get this done and what gains I may see from it? Thanks

My GTI has been misfiring this week too! It is really frustrating, I guessed it needed a new coil pack and will be taking it to the garage on Saturday to get this sorted!

Do you still have these? Could you post a picture please

Cheers mate, I hope that is the case with mine as the garage I took it to today instantly said new gear box without even inspecting it. Fingers crossed its what u said! There is no whining or any other symptoms of gear box failure -

I currently drive a VW Lupo GTI 1.6 5 speed model, I have a problem with my gear box and it will not go into 3rd gear. All the other gears are ok but it will not go into 4th at all. The garage seem to think it will need a new gear box (they haven't looked at it properly) I'm hoping this is not the case as I would be looking at spending up to £600 which I haven't got! Could anybody help me find out what might be wrong with it? I'm hoping it is the selector and not the actual box. Any help/tips on this would be much appreciated! Thanks -
