Clutch will need doing at some point so will get that done next mth, since I bought the car, ive been gradually replacing parts as its got most of the original ones from new on it still. its still got the he-man bar for dual controls in lol

Mornin, garage confirmed its the drive shaft, its snapped inside the cv joint, 140 squid to fix

AA man turned up early (nice one) and drove me the 20mile trip home and to a garage round the corner, I showed him straight away and he said without me asking its the clutch. Fingers crossed as a replacement box fitter is working out at 480 Cheers

Just to add, had no whining at all prior to this, its an 03 1.4 TDI and I have pressure in the clutch

Evenin all I'm still at work as i've just got to the lights and tried to pull of and nothing, car in neutral makes the usual noises nothing to worry about but when I put it in gear and release the clutch I can hear low grinding noises, the higher the gear the higher the noise, even reverse doesn't work. Do you think its a replacement box? Currently waiting for the AA Man to turn up rang 7:30 just had text to confirm he's here by 8:30 Cheers in Advance

Afternoon Just started to have an issue on my 03 tdi. a few times a week it takes a while to start. Once started if I drive a short distance all of a sudden I loose revs and the car cuts out. If I then try to start it takes a few seconds and it kicks in again and its fine the rest of my journey. I've changed the Fuel Filter as it was service time and its still happening. I thought it could be the fuel pump, I do here it kick in sometimes once I turn the ignition on but not everytime. Could it be the pump? is there a way I can be 100% sure? Thanks in Advance

Evening all Hopefully you can help, I've got a 2003 TDI. In the last week when travelling along and i let off in 3/4 or 5 then accelerate again, the car will stutter as if its not getting enough fuel. If i give it more gas it will get through it then be fine after i get past 2k 1st & 2nd never an issue, i change down and its fine. Cheers

must be the cheapo ones i bought then, some do come with resistors in to stop that from happening. or its due to me having LEDs in the high level light and the tail/stop lights ill buy some of these to see if it stops Cheers

When you brake do they come on? i bought some and my sides turn on when i brake im tdi not gti though

Does no one know the Nut Sizes?

Afternoon i need to replace my springs after one snapped, ive got the replacements and the clamps but i need to confirm what size sockets i need for the 2 bottom nuts and the top nut. My draper socket set doesnt have anything that fits and i cant find the sizes on all the posts relating to springs Cheers
