Just a small question (didn't bother making a new thread for this one..) How do you get the knob for back seat entry (on the side of the seat) properly attached? It just won't stay on.. I tried forcing it on, but it just falls off again

Waterbelt, fan belt and some pulley for the fan belt has been changed, so now the car is good to go again Will probably fit some stereo this weekend too..

Ok, thanks for the help guys! EDIT: I put it in a shop, let them do it. They changed the waterpump, fan belt and a pulleythingey.. Now it's all good

Sound on the videoes was crap, I know.. I got a mechanic I know to listen to it today, he said that the belt (for water pump and alternator) was close to snapping, and that the waterpump was dying.. Not under a week since I bought it, so I probably should phone the seller.. How bad would it be to drive like this? The engine will survive? I'll most likely just park it until I can fix it..

Hi, I just recently bought a 99 Lupo 1.0, and the day after I got it, it started making some weird noises. I've never heard this kind of noise from any car I've driven/owned.. It is not the valves ticking.. Sounds like it could be coming from side of the engine, but from what I hear it's not the dynamo.. Could it be waterpump or tension pulleys? The sound varies along with the revs.. Previous owned changed the registry belt some time ago, but didn't change the waterpump.. I've read this thread, but checked the belt (going to the alternator) and it was not loose. Is there another belt I have to check? Is it safe to drive it? Automatics use a lille more fuel from what I know, but as it is only a 1.4 it couldn't be that bad.. Why buy an automatic?

Are the rear popout windows and front seat airbags standard also? It's a 1.0 litre.. If you look closer at the pics, I also changed the antenna to a short one, and polished the whole car style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I'll think about the mudflaps, although I'm not sure I like them..

Ordered black gearknob and gaitor, cupholders and the knob for the seat today, will have the knob tomorrow and the other stuff friday or monday.. Hopefully before the weekend so I can fit it then style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I've also been searching the web for bagdeless grilles (not the mesh ones).. Found some on the german ebay, but very few of them seem to include the bonnet "half circle" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Thanks style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I just phoned and fixed insurance now (cheap!) and will probably drop by the vw-dealer down the street to order some parts that are missing later today.. It has no handle on my driver side seat, so I can only get in the back using the passenger side seat.. It's also missing some covers here and there.. Been thinking about getting the cupholders also, or at least a blanking plate, as the doubleDIN is completely empty for now.. The lock on the rear hatch is also broken. It's a common fault, right? Easy to fix?
