    mazda 6 mps

Hows it going mate, not sure what the 6 mps is like but there aint much will get away from my 3 mps, the torque and the grip are incredible. I remember looking at the 6 before i got the 3 and thinking the interior wasnt as nice but everyones taste is different. Wish i could afford to keep the 3 and buy back the GTI
  2. Cheers for the comments. Never really liked the old exhaust since i got the car and the Janspeeds made a noticeable difference in power. As for the splitter, I love it to, makes the front of the car look even sportier got the idea from Stephen on here.
  3. Sorry bud didnt see you. Was that Sunday night? Where in Stirling?
  4. Got the car washed and dried the other day and took a few photos. Theres a few mods since the last photos: Its now lowered 45mm on KYB struts and AVO springs, got black diamond grooved rear discs and EBC Greenstuff pads, wind and rain deflectors, Toyo Proxie tyres, Raceland 4-2-1 s/s manifold, Janspeed s/s cat back exhaust,Seat Leon Cupra R front spoiler and a lot of Zymol wax
  5. I had a raceland manifold fitted to mine a few months ago and not had any problems at all. The standard ecu seems to have adjusted itself to suit because for the first day or two it didnt seem too much different but after that there was a huge difference and had it rolling roaded 3 days after fitting and there was a 16bhp difference.
  6. Im a customer of Falkland Performance in fife and they will Superchip the Lupo Gti for around £300 (standard price for n/a cars) but only if its the Bosch ECU and not the Siemens one like mine. (dammit).
  7. Spotted a Raven Blue GTI in Stirling yesterday, I was a few cars behind it until it turned up towards Plean. Anyone on here??
  8. Not just yet, i'm hoping to get a few pics of the manifold and other recent mods posted up on my readers rides post this week. Gaz
  9. Its ok just now with the spring clamps (instead of flexi) but thinking of putting a flexi on in the future. Only reason I didnt get one is because I forgot to ask
  10. Definitly worth the money, all in it cost me approx £280 thats even including the heat wrap and hose clips.lol. Its a lot louder than it was before and sounds great, it also revs a lot higher and picks up a lot quicker. I just have the standard system except a powerflow back box which was on when i purchased the car. Tried looking for a sports cat but couldnt find one. Its getting its 1st MOT on sat so might try a de-cat next month. Its still running perfect, no lights etc. Sounds of Silence is in Falkirk (Central Scotland) Tel. 01324 613555. Had a few rattles but it was just the engine tray hadnt been put back on properly. They've also broken the plug off my rectifier on my alternator and glued it back on which they are not taking responsibility for But apart from the dirty finger prints all over the bonnet they made a great job cutting, bending and fitting it. P.s will post pics soon.
  11. The before figure was 128.8bhp, 114lbft and the after figure is 144.3bhp, 120lbft. Sounds incredible now. Got it done at Sounds of Silence, yes i supplied the manifold and got charged 4 hours labour at £25 + VAT. But had it back at them a few times since. No other mods, just a BMC (which was fitted on the 1st run to) and always ran on Shell V-power.
  12. Well guys the manifold is on (was charged 4 hours labour) and the difference is incredible, see power graph below, the "before" power run is in the background 15.5bhp and 6lb/ft difference
  13. Cheers for all the help folks. Should hopefully have it fitted soon, going to a custom exhaust specialist tomorrow to let them have a look. Oh just one more question, how long roughly has it taken you guys to fit them in the past??? Gaz
  14. What is the reason for changing the angle, is it to do with the position of the lambda on the new manifold by any chance? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Gaz
  15. Just it was pulling quite quick for having a few people in it, the only time i could have passed you was before 80mph.lol. Ive only got 128.8 bhp but thats standard apart from the bmc air box. Cheers, i should think so to, i spent all day cleaning it.lol style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" /> Gaz
