  1. May sound like a silly question but VW didnt give me any instructions on operating this, and I cant find any. Should the worse happen does anyone know the basic procedure for using this and repairing the tyre for 60k or whatever it is? Do I fill the tyre with the liquid stuff and then use the compressor or what? Cheers.
  2. Well, going round the Bristol Ring Road late last night I easily destroyed one. Not suprising really, but what really made the deal so sweet was the reg plate of the other car. It was "C2 VTR" which meant that the person was obviously enthusiastic about the car. All the more sweet when the french piece of poo gets shown up. In all fairness it did look like a wicked little car, but unfortunately aside from that.....it isnt.
  3. I didnt go for the GAP insurance. I didnt want to essentially make a bet that I would crash my car when I dont intend to. Also I dont fancy paying to mitigate the risk, and giving the company more profit too style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  4. Nice one, Ta! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  5. Cant believe this countries top of the line Lupo modifiers, enthusiasts and experts, and also those around the world can't give me simple advice on changing a sidelight bulb. Ahh well, ill have to bodge it
  6. Just been trying to change the sidelight bulb, but gave up cos my hands were freezing and I couldnt feel what the hell I was doing. Can anyone save me alot of time and effort and give me some tips on how the get to the bulb. - I imagine you take the unit out back in the engine bay to change the bulb -Which bolts release the unit so I can attack it? Is it the 2 long white plastic ones on each unit that I have to take out or is it more involved? HELP PLEASE! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Anyone know where on the web I can get good instructions on this. Its taking the piss if I have to get the stealer to do something so simple cos the lovely persons will charge me 40 notes for the labour!
  7. Cheers for the info, any good tips/instructions on how and easy way to take the unit out and change them? Personally I would like to keep the standard ones, as I like the contrast between the normal yellow lighting and funky Xenons next to it style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  8. Does anyone know the right bulb that is required to replace a blown bulb. I am ready to order the part through GSF but need to be sure I am getting the right one. And I cant be arsed to take the headlight fitting to bits to get the bulb out and check. Help would be appreciated. Cheers.
  9. Couldnt believe it when driving home yesterday in my GTi the washer jets started being strange. I was driving home at night so I had the Xenons on, however whenever I applied the brake to stop at traffic lights headlight washers would activate. Thought it was strange. The I noticed that EVERY time I touched the brake they were activating. I shut the ignition down and turned the lights off at a junction, then started her all up again and the problem stopped. Im worried this might become an intermittent problem. Anyone had this before? It did kinda make me laugh though, thank god the warranty is still valid. Why should applying the brake make the headlight washers activate? Weird, cant imagine how they could possibly even be closely linked enough for such an electrical fault ?????

Tidy job, very nice work. Obviously spent a good ammount of time and care on it. Bet the ICE kicks as well. Thought putting a GTi badge on it was a bit dodgy though. Couldnt you have just bought a GTi with the money you spent?
  12. Wouldn't mind havin a nose, but im out this saturday so I expect to be hungover/drunk/otherwise occupied this sunday unfortunately. Ill try for the next one. Keep us posted. Cheers
  13. damn right, only had my old 5 speed for a few months and I love it. Just getting used to what it can do, the drift on cornering is so controllable. I love it. Plus it really annoys the Saxo boys when you dust em Hehehe Nowhere near as many problems as I had with my Mk5 Polo S too. Wicked car.
