  1. how low and what on? also are tho's 7 on the back? looks nice! sticker bomb ftw!!!
  2. av had a few mini's, this one only since begining ov the year... was standard when got it bit ov a diff now a!
  3. best to find som1 with a set to see how they sit- if not try them on your car... only way ul know if the car can take the offset. the diff and advantage i had with the mini is that i just measure how far they stick out then buy arches accordingley... alot harder on a modern car- either goin need strech tyres or arch modification...
  4. mini is solid. heres somthing you dont relate to many mini's- theres no rust or rot on mine i take him off road during winter... best way they dont like it. iv just always fancied a gti- there prob is an attraction because its one of the closest modern day cars to a mini...
  5. iv got 10x6 wellers on my mini and if my wellers are anything to got by watch what width you choose as weller wheels have a funky offset (stick out quitte a bit)
  6. would you swap this for a lupo gti... ive been toying with the idea for a while. to swap my mini for a gti... girlfriend had a 1.0 loop and i loved it and we nearly bought a gti after that, but she bought a polo and i went back to what i know- minis! also how good an example of a gti could i get for 5k? looking for 6 speed 70k and less? cherrs guys all comment welcome scotty
  7. hang about i might have made an arse ov this my polo is a 53 plate that not a mk6 thats the 9n model or a mk7 no? what size am i talking now...
  8. gd man cheers... ok next question how do i get audi wheels to fit my polo?? lol
  9. ok guys this isnt really a lupo thing but i know alot of you guys on here no your stuff... i am new to the vw scence and i am wondering about wheels... which vw cars have the same stud patterns ect... i have a mk6 polo... what does it match i.e. will lupo wheels fit it? do all vw 4 stud have the same offset ect?? cheers guys any help is appreciated
  10. it is silver for the win i reckon... although i have just found another one in my price range lol again far to travel but its the anthracite grey colour how bout that?? silver or anthracite grey??? lol sorry guys this saga will not end until iv found my perfect loop cheers again guys for all the reply and pointers silver- so whens the next scottish meet any plans for one?? i was actually up your neck of the wood today in the clio tho... no fun and how do i get in on this nor dubs action
  11. ok guys this man has hit the nail on the head i had came to a coclusion before reading this post but this man has made my points for me as to why i will not be buying the blue... over to penry's silver gti...
  12. ok guys went to take a second look at the raven blue gti... i also took the misses so she could fault find with me as i get the (i want vision) when go look at cars lol... on a 2nd inspection i found a couple more scratches and one of the back quarters look to have been resprayed at some point- current owner has no clue... also the passenger side door has been replaced recently and is a diff colour(slightly darker) none ov this was a given on the first viewing as it was typically pissin it down up her in bonnie scotland (the main reasson i went for a look in the dry glad i did) the misse was usefull as she pointed out the interior did look a bit shabby ie overall wear and tear. i hadnt thought much but when i thought about it the car has only ment to have covered 43 thou miles... now the misses owns an arosa with 40 odd thou on the clock and it by far is not as shabby im talking steering wheel ware gear knob carpets door panels... taking a 2nd look at these is leaving a suspect feeling aout the mileage and lack of service history... after this 2nd viewing of the raven blue the gut feeling has swung towards penry's silver gti- i feel its alot more gti to be had and its alot more honest... still to be viewed tho so the decision is still in the balance
  13. lol the simple solution whats nor dubs mate? just realised your profile- perth!!! thats perth scotland ye?
  14. price wise v similar... pics blue one is on autotrader http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...rgeId=762706213 and the silver is p4nry club lupo member now i must say when i think of the nitty grity stuff i am more attract to p4nry's loop as this guy has been top cominication wise and seems like a top genuine guy... decisions decisions......
  15. drove the blue one toda... and i would take some beating from the silver as it was driving pretty smooth!!! was loving it... the misses had a 1.0 arosa and my god what a diff im deff hooked on the GTI fun to be had!!!
  16. cheers guys keep the votes coming basicly coming down to raven blue vs servise history lol
  17. ok guys dilema i have found 2 GTI's that i am v interested in buying and i need help deciding which one... option1 Raven Blue GTI 43 thou miles (no service history) condition- decent... wheels need refurb, gti badges been removed , non standard backbox 6 speed standard gti interior sunroof 33 miles from my door and 2 spare gti wheels with sale option2 Reflex Silver 48 thou miles (full vw service history and cam belt done) condition- looks mint in pics, on coilovers pretty much standard 6 speed leather interior 400 odd miles from door lol now i dont mind traveling so thats not really a prob i have viewed the blue one today tho and it looks good am just torn between the both, i like the standardness of the silver but the raven blue colour is awsome and could be returned back to standard... but no service history guys help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont need write a lengthy reply just write a colour or vote lol and need answers asap as buying v soon!!! cheers scotty

  20. pm regards polo lol... and cheers guys for all your input... certainly is a tuff decision i do really like both and prob would buy both if had the money lol. loop does seem to seem more quirky and the polo does seem slightly more practical if that makes sence... when i think about it though the loop gti looks awsome in my opinion exterior wise... mmmm what one!!!! think its going to be which one steals my heart when go to view them...
  21. hey hey guys, ok the story as it goes up until 2 days ago i was going to restore my old skool mini this has been the plan for about 6 months... then up until 3 days ago i am falling out of love with the idea of running and old skool mini i have had one before and know how much they can dent your pocket anyway a mate of mine made the point his mate had a polo gti for sale now i have always had a soft spot for vw and though mmmmm a vw!!!! this poses my question loop gti(which i am slightly favouring) or polo gti??? i am deff buying one or the other at the end of the month so any advise on bying either- especially the loop would be much appreciated cheers guys
