  1. Thinking about selling up my much loved Lupo 1.4 TDI 2001 Sport (Jazz blue) Comes standard with Sport wheels, mudguards and spoiler. The car has 118k miles on the clock Full history 2 lady owners who had each spent a fair amount on the car 1000 upwards on bits and bobs (she had a small bump - not recorded) Very clean inside (few small dinks and dents on the outside + both lower foggys cracked glass usual marks for an old dog typical though! ) VW replaced the hydrolic lift and cambelt and pump last yeah at 250quids It will have a fresh M.O.T and TAX and a few bushes and ball joints im sure will be replaced. Good tyres etc *100pound sub - 130pound double din hi fi unit - 50pound vibe speakers. (nice set up) *New blue carpets *New bush front/rear wipers Runs spot on (perfect little car) Im just seeing how much you think these rare little jems fetch looking at the spec of mine? Don't worry though my next car is still going to be a VW!! - just a 2.0tdi golf 170 Thanks guys
  2. Would it be possible to fit a turbo from another VAG Diesel such as a turbo from one of there 1.9TDI's like the PD110 turbo for example? What would be pro's/con's of doing so and would it even work? On top of that, what other turbo's or supercharger pack's are available new. Or even better second-hand from another car that would fit my Lupo? Would a Mini cooper S supercharger fit my lupo (german to german like) Thanks peeeps!
  3. Try zoom into the centre cap to see what the logo looks like, Hmm wolf? Not sure though
  4. So what's the difference between that, and then buying a EGR delete kit for like £50? I don't want loads of warning lights on though so im not sure on trying it without anymore info on it. Thanks though james.
  5. I want to carry out this 'EGR delete' on my 1.4TDI LUPO, but i have heard of people using the EGR delete kit for a 1.9TDI golf which fits exactly right as its the same engine minus 1 cylinder, But this is about £60 http://fr-rtuning-shop.co.uk/images/cache/egr_delete_VAG19tdi90-100-110-115.600.jpg I have also heard of people using these 'blanking plates' which are about £5 off Ebay? http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/$%28KGrHqNHJBcE9rIkvO3cBPluQ5V-d!~~60_35.JPG Finally, i have heard of people just cutting off the hose/s? and blocking them up? What are the pro's and cons of each method, as i want to carry it out, but don't fancy spending £60 on the kit above. But also don't fancy having the engine explode or warning lights come up due to using the cheap method. Any knowledge would be great help. thanks
  6. I have a 1.4tdi and was going to block off the egr valve/clean it. Where abouts is it located, as mine doesnt look in sight anywhere?! thanks!
  7. Thanks allot mate, that helped loads, i done what i needed to now
  8. Hello, I am either being stupid, or stupid? But can someone tell me how the rear boot handle comes off, as i have looked on other posts and its not completely clear. I have taken all 3 screws out the back and pushed most of the unit through, i cant find this so called 'C' clip anywhere?! Although there is a gold coloured clip thing which is like a piece of bent wire, that is only visible from the outside of the boot when i push the handle through, its connected to the lock itself, but i have tugged and pulled it in all sorts of directions, but have had no success. It looks like its not really designed to come out by the way the end pieces of the 'bent wire thing' is pushed into the lock, but then again i am most likely wrong. So a picture of the clip would be amazing, but other than that, any help or whereabouts to where the 'C' clip is would be great! THANNNKS!
  9. Just interested in seeing who has got the most power out of there 1.4 Diesel and what the specs are Post yours bellow people...
  10. Yeah that's true, thanks mate
  11. Yeah i may consider a EPF removal do you have any idea how much that would cost for someone to do, again i dont have the space to do it
  12. Basically, i got my 1.4TDI lupo mapped by revo a few days ago. I am in the process of changing over/cleaning my MAF sensor which was running 'low' at the point of mapping. I was wondering what the next good/cheapish mod would be to carry out (im more the fan of 'wolf in a sheep clothing' even though it will still be a sheep after every mod known to man!) I have heard of cheap mods such as EGR Delete Cold air feed + new panel filter But would they make any noticeable difference? Or are they worth it? How easy is it to change the jets over, could you put some old PD115 jets on my PD75 engine and would it run fine(faster??) or would it smoke and then need tunning again? Or what about a larger turbo such as a PD115 or PD130 i mean do they fit? or would cause any problems? Also due to limited space, how much would a garage charge to fit a second hand turbo? Im not a fan of touching the exhaust, again that loud diesel sound doesn't do it for me, and they are around £160 which i think is stupid given you can get a second hand turbo for not to much more than that? Cheers again!
  13. Okay, when the weather is good, i will take off the MAF and give it a clean with some ISO, i will put it back in and see if it is any different, if its not i will probably buy one off the Internet and fit it asap. cheers
  14. Sorry to be a pain in asking, but would i see an increase in preformance after fitting the new MAF sensor. Its weird as well, i could swear my car is getting faster everytime i take it out after having the mapp?
  15. Also in the time between now and when it is changed, is there a chance my car could go 'kapoooof' ?
  16. Yeah but they have a 30 day monney back, so if i got the MAF sensor fitted at home for about £70 then went back and got monney back for the map, then surely i could go back a week later and get it re-mapped. Even though they wouldn't like that haha. But the main thing i was asking is, if i just installed the MAF sensor at home, would i automatically see an increase in preformance, or would it need to be re-mapped again after installing it? Cheers
  17. Basically it was done down Portsmouth at a place that do REVO maps (very good service etc - one of the best in England so i have heard) it was nice to know they had 20% sale on at the time, so i got it for £195 instead of £238 Anyway the mechanic came into where i was sitting and said something about my MAF sensor reading being low? (apparently its the part that controls the air/fuel intake) he said it was reading at about 60 and it should be running at about 150 or something? (sorry my memory is bad, and not to mention my knowledge on that is crap!) Anyway he completed doing the map, but i was under the impression by the way he spoke, that it wasn't going to be running at its full potential without having this part changed? (at a quoted £170 including VAT). and it would take him about half an hours work. So my question is, if this part was changed without it being re-mapped again, would my car benefit from it i;e feel faster? Or would i have to get my car re-mapped again after the part was installed (it has a 30day money back on the mapping so it shouldn't cost me again) Also i had a quick look on the Internet, and the part for my 1.4TDI LUPO is about £70, so is it easy to fit at home? and save the £100 extra? My car wont blow up in the mean time without it? Thanks again lads
  18. Scotty_82 you don't have to be a prick all your life mate, the girl has asked a simple question, if you didn't want to waste your time helping her out, then why bother saying anything at all? This is a forum mate, the idea being you all help each other out. Or shut your moody old trap. Before you even go about saying something to do with her being female and me being a male hence the reason im 'sticking up for her'. Don't bother, i have a girlfriend and i would defend someone even if it was a "boy". Emat90 Here are some posts you may find useful. http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=48860 http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=90304&hl=coilover http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=86107&st=0&p=991968&hl=coiloverentry991968 Just for the record Emat90, we aren't all like this old fart Scotty_82, he's obviously unhappy with his marriage or hasn't even got that far with girls yet, so he feels better inside when he has the chance to have ago at girls when he gets a chance. That's what real big men do...

    EGR Delete?

I have had a quick look around on here about the EGR delete for the John Deer Lupo's! I have a 1.4tdi lupo and have got it booked in for a re-map to a quoted 105hp and a shed load of torque! in 2 weeks time. I was thinking of doing the EGR delete (by fabricating a plate to go between the parts? 1mm thick? ) as i have heard it removes some of the engine lag that the Diesels suffer from, but besides that, i don't really know what it is, or how it works, and more over, where it is!? Obviously when they re-map the car it would be better to have 'performance parts' done before the re-map? That way the Mapping will get every last drop of power out of the car? Right? Thanks for your help again guys!
  20. Thanks for that mate, so do i not need a set for the rear of the car then? This won't be cheap after all , insurance want £128 extra then comes the price of all this, so nearly £400 just to lower my car! haha
