maybe my problem???

driving to York last week there was a whistle sound, when I got back It was a grinding when I started the car, so I thought maybe oil was low, topped it up and it died off. anyway a week later my revs went up a tad and driving on the motor way yesterday there way a scrape sound every time the car seemed to break, (slow down) I came off the motorway thinking it was my wheels rubbing the arch. but there was a crazy chain like sound and I stopped and seen under the bonnet was a sheered plastic ring. phone dead and 11pm I drove the chain sound got worse until the engine went silent, batt light come on, and there was no power steering. I made it back and opened the bonnet to find the alternator belt, snapped and the smaller pulley below the alternator was showing the bearings, here's some pics, any help what I need tho replace, how easy it is.....ect also is this gap in the sump area normal.. not a crack?? BELOW

anyone have an idea on this I drove 200miles in my 1.0mpi tues, on 13" banded wheels so sat a 4krpm for 4 hours . anyway about 20 miles from home I noticed a sound whistle, got it back checked the oil with was like piss water, and the car on startup had a mad chain rattle scratch sound, I topped the oil up with10w40 and this sound is still there but dies off after 10 secs of running. but it does it on every start up its weird the cars running fine but sounds screwed on the turn of the key lol

Thats ace, it was just general keeping crap off it, but as you say if its going to damage prob leave it.

Yeah 9" on the back, nope i was wrong it 165/55/13, hmm i don't want to blow them, but having 13s its to high i feel ill wack a picture up.

Right peeps, i have Weitec Hicon GT, on my arosa, and also 8.5/9 wide 13" on 165/65 i think without looking as im writing this in bed lol. "Q" so i fitted them with the rear cups in and theres a lot of arch room. Will if i remove them will this screw my rear shocks? And will it be that much of a differance. Dont want it scraping just a smaller arch gap.
