  1. What colours your car? Ronal Turbos look good on darker Loops.
  2. Hi, I was just wondering if the sub that I wanted in my car will fit in the back of a Lupo. The dimentions are: 473mm (W) x 380mm (H) x 314/414mm (D). Its an Alpine SBG-1244BP. Has anyone got this already, any reviews? Conor
  3. Hi Guys, I need to know what to do with my car in the sound department. I have literally no idea with any of this. So basically what would people suggest for me to get? I dont want my car shaking, but I want some decent bass. Talk to me guys Thanks, Conor
  4. Wish I could, limited to about £4000 for car and insurance though, a GTi maybe not that much more to insure, but a fair bit more to buy outright gutted I didn't save harder because its really bit me now!
  5. I keep on getting quotes offered to me from Diamond? I think I can technically go on them because I've put my mum as a named driver
  6. Admiral, but it was through Money Supermarket, probably could get it down a little more if I rang them up!
  7. Surprisingly, I can get GTi insurance for little more than £2000, which at 18 I think is pretty good! However I will be buying a little 1.4 or a 1 Thanks for your help anyway guys! Lets see what I can get
  8. Right, it's come down to it, after months of saving and getting knocked back, I've passed my test and am out looking for a Loop! My question is what do I look for when buying one? What are their problems? What are the easy ones to fix and what aren't so easy to fix. I'm pretty much looking for anything that could be an issue when buying one. Thanks
  9. There would never be 2 policies on the car at the same time, my mums temp cover would expire the day my full cover starts?
  10. Oh, I'll have to see how much a temp quote is for someone my age then
  11. So what's the point in temporary cover then? I thought it was so someone who didn't own the car could drive it temporarily?
  12. Well if that's the case ill get temp cover until a certain date (e.g. 20/01/2013), then have my main insurance start on that day as well, surely it wouldn't overlap and the car would still only be insured on one policy?
  13. This is a long shot, but I'd quite like to share it with you guys as it might help some younger drivers. I was on a price comparison website and for some reason I was messing around with the start date of the policy, I clicked on 15 days in the future and got a quote which was a few hundred pounds cheaper than the quote I had received for that day. Basically if I set the start date 15 days in the future it was £300 cheaper. Now, what I want to know is, can I pay for my mum to take out temp insurance on my Lupo for 20 days (£30) whilst my policy starts 15 days in? Meaning my insurance is cheaper. Is this illegal or have I just found a way to cheapen my insurance? There's no reason I can see it being a problem? Just want other people's answer on this. Thanks
  14. @chippi218 - no, I'm just about to pass my test, so I haven't got any no claims bonus. I think I'm just going to get a 1.0E and make it look smart and not worry about the power for now... Also, what insurer is that with? @GTi-Git - Lucky! I remember my dad telling me his first car was a MK2 Golf GTi which was fully kitted and that only cost him peanuts to insure, how times change!
  15. £5400 for me on a standard GTi, I'm just about to turn 18...
  16. Okay, thanks a lot!
  17. I mean, how low before you run into any problems with the arch's rubbing against the tyres etc... (If there will be any problems at all) What I basically need to know is, is it as simple as installing the coilovers, setting he height and then sticking the rims on? Or are there some other things I need to do. Im a total neewbie to all this stuff as my other car was left completely standard.
  18. Insurance, insurance, insurance :(

  19. I'm new to the Lupo scene and need some advice, I'm looking at buying a 1.0E, can anyone tell me how low I can go on 'KW V1 Coilovers' with 15x7" Rota Flashbeck's. I don't want silly low as my town in full of pot holes and speed bumps. Any help appreciated!
  20. Admiral/Elephant are good, Admiral were the cheapest in my case. Add your parents as named drivers and ring them up so you can haggle. Admiral called me today and I got my quote down a few hundred pounds.
