Alright guys just gonna copy what ive said on gumtree ,

i need a new check strap aswell , but the problem is the bolt in the middle ( shown in arosacal's picture ) has threaded and wont tighten or loosen ... kinda wondering what the feck im going to do ? any help for me would be apprieciated

i had to buy a new gaitor when i got my new GEAR knob , took it from a mk5 ibiza in the ol scrapyard ! youl find them in car accesory shops , i got a red leather one which is pretty cool ! ****ing murder to put it on the bottom plastic part that clips in when you remove all the leather

the add was on gumtree , phoned the guy and it was sold 2 months ago ! im ****ing sad right now !

since im at it heres a question for you adam , see the lower bumper on your arosa ( black plastic with fog lights ) ... you can paint that cant you ? im going to get the front and rear done red (if possible) , just so it kinda gives it that bodykitish look , probably slam some sideskirts on aswell ! im convinced you can but im a funny bugger

probably would be a better idea , cause when i take the exhaust off ill have to re-attach my old one , along with the suspension ! ill have to see what the old father says as if im keeping another car at HIS house 'hes the boss and what he says goes' , usual patter ! but then again i have a few mechanics who could let me use there yard , ill have to look into this further !

yeah true , but id rather have the £200 pocketed again than wait around for someone to buy parts. not many people have arosas or lupos around my area and im not the kind to post package around the country. The exhaust without cat back is £200 , so i have to find out the exhaust type off the guy and even if its not cb im saving £100 ... plus its a wee bit of fun that im not used to (im only 19 , new to the whole taking parts from cars and using them) cheers for the idea though

alright guys , ive seen a lupo on the net not far from where i live for £300 . The timing belt has shredded and bent the valves but its not for driving purposes ! it has a scorpion exhaust and 40mm lowering springs . I was wondering if it was worth buying for the parts ( i get £200 for ANY scrap car so if i scrap it its like paying £100 for the exhaust and springs ) , also the check strap is away on my arosa passenger door so i will be changing that aswell ! i was just wondering if its all worth the bother ? id like a new exhaust and a little lower as most of the changes to my car are cosmetic (spoiler , wind deflectors , alloys , debadging and painting etc) , fitting will be lower than £100 as i have a few people who i can turn to . I know its not a hard question to answer , i just need to be swayed in the right direction . Big plus here , do scorpion make exhausts for any lupo/arosa other than the sport and the gti ( centre exhaust ) ... as far as im concerned they dont . thanks

only thing i can say is i prefer your other alloys , apart from that its amazing ! im not much of a mechanic , i think more about appearance ... but yours has it all i take my hat off to you !

took this from a thread i was reading , if you look at both hinges youl see a black cap in the middle ... the cap comes off and theres a bolt under it ! my bottom one is missing so anyone any idea on how to remove one ( 2 lupos in my local scrapyard so i have access) ? .... AHHH THE COMMENT WONT POST WHEN I DRAGGED A PICTURE FROM MY DESKTOP , according to this my post is 'too short ' ... help ?

just read all this and im impressed ! thought to myself at the start 'oh **** its another slammed to the ground with steelies car' ( no affence to anyone ) , but it was fun to read ! maybe a spoiler and wind deflecters (maybe some tinkering with interior) to add and id say job done !

size 11 wrench done the trick for me guys ! thought that i would loosen the bolt on the check strap and lubricate it and accidently tightened it (silly me) , but when i was closing the door the bangin had calmed down a lot ... so i tightened it more and i tighted the 2 inside bolts and tada !! i think i need a new check strap as it still feels like it doesnt want to close over ... but ill live with tightening the bolts every so often and save fitting one of those dreadful things !

well i might have to unscrew the check strap and lubricate it then retighten the bolts AGAIN , but its asif this bolt thats missing was meant to be holding the door at the right height , hence banging noise when shutting ! ill try get a picture tomorrow and see if i can get some help thanks .

im thinking it will mate , ive got a mk5 ibiza gearknob in my arosa youl possibly need a new leather gaitor but apart from that it should be good !

most sportex exhaust systems sound great , my mates just had one fitted to his golf mk4 ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-MK4-1-4-1-6-Sportex-Exhaust-inc-Race-Tube-Twin-3-/270924428521?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f145ab4e9 ) <<< this one ! couldnt comment on this exact one your looking at but id go with sportex as they sound great and according to him hes saving on fuel (dont quote me on this) ! hope this will help

evening guys , im just new to this ! i have a mk2 arosa 1.4 16v sport since june last year and its been great . The only problem ive came across is the annoying noise when my passenger door is opened ! there are 2 black bolts ( one at top and one at bottom ) with black covers round them , the one at the bottom is missing which is helping make the noise ( isnt holding my door up fully ) , does anyone know how to take this bolt off as i have a lupo in my local scrapyard which i can get access to , just dont know how to remove ? also is it a common arosa/lupo thing for the engine management light to come on because of dirt trapped in the egr valve & throttle body ? getting them both cleaned out next week but jw if anyone has had the same problem .
