Just to add my 2p's worth.. the 75hp and 100hp share the same bottom end, at least Mahle list the same piston and compression ratio.. I also think the 75hp has smaller exhaust valves.. plus all the differences listed above..

Hi, I want to replace the stock speakers in my Lupo, there seems to be 100's of 165mm component sets so if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.. I intend to keep the Gamma head unit/CD player and I want to retain stock positions (inc tweeters) due the car being parked in the street. I'd spend £50-£100 on the right bits. I already have Blaupunkt Lupo 165mm speaker adaptors. Any experts recommend something?

It was £50 for the drivers seat as all the bolsters were replaced, took 4 hours, hopefully the passenger will be cheaper as its just swapping the centre cloth with no repairs..

Just thought I'd share a pic of my new front seat/s... After reading the posts on mk4 Recaro seat conversion I bought a full Recaro interior of a user on Edition38 for £90, it was cheap as his car had failed the MOT because the base height mechanism was faulty so he'd bought a full set of blue recaros, didn't bother me as I intended to use my Lupo bases anyway, plus the bolsters were worn.. No problem though as I dropped them off at Trim Deluxe who replaced the worn bolsters with material from the Recaro rears and took the blue material from my Lupo seats and replaced the Recaro centre sections.. I wanted to keep the look as OEM as possible and this way the rears don't have to be retrimmed.. the passenger seat will be done next Saturday but you get the idea.. the repairs cost me £50.. Its worth the swap though as the Recaros are so so comfy and I spend 3 hours a day sat in them!

Did any Lupos come with a black rear bench? was just about to have mine retrimmed to match my mk4 Recaros and it was suggested in may be cheaper to start with a rear bench that was black (mines grey with blue centres) Anyone know?

They're 1.5mm pitch... regardless of wether they're M12 or M14 they'll still be 1.5 pitch on a VW.. One thing, M14 x 50? are you sure? Surely they're M12...
