  1. Closet chav lol. Also why have a fast fwd car?
  2. It was a honda engine not a vauxhall (yuk). I agree with you but not many people are getting 70mpg. A guy I know has a new Leon 2l tdi and that's meant to be 70mpg but he isn't getting more than 45-50. Yes driving habits have a lot to do with it but still these silly high mpgs are lies plus you have the expense of a complex engine. I agree that sdis are bomb proof things that aren't taxed so last forever. I've done the whole slow car veg oil thing I had a 1.5 106. I don't think I could do it know. My remapped arosa is on the limit of being way to slow for me too. I'm not a boy racer but I don't have the patients for slow cars any more they infuriate me. I know once your doing 70 on the motorway your all good but getting there or when you slow down and you need to get back up to speed seems to take an eternity. But if I was really broke again and needed to save every penny a sdi is really a great but. Yes it's not fast at all but it makes up for it in reliability and low cost motoring. Swings and roundabouts really.
  3. Too slow lol. I have been driving a 2.2 i cdti and just remapped it to nearly 200bhp. It flies!
  4. Define better, you really think it would be better on a bumpy back road?
  5. The PD injector design doesn't like veg oil at all but neither does alot of common rail. I would consider making veg oil if I had a few diesels in the house.
  6. I think that's why turbos and veg oil don't mix. If you have a turbo it's harder to inject fuel due to higher cylinder pressure? Veg oil hates high pressure and that's why PD doesn't get on with veg oil at all. I don't think even twin tanks work with it or well for very long.
  7. Hmm, if you was really crafty you could just change your oil every 1kmiles and then use that oil as fuel?
  8. I could be wrong but why would they?
  9. I paid £210 and I got £70 back on topcashback. But yeah I agree why add so much complex stuff to make it more unreliable and take away the great fuel consumption.
  10. I suppose it's proof on concept but it's pretty silly lol. I really don't know what the engine can take but doubling the power even if it is small is still impressive. It's generally the massive torque that turbos or nos produce that bend things on engines.
  11. Your stock speakers must have blown unless amping them your getting the same crappy signal from the head unit. Lupo speakers are very good.
  12. I don't think it works that way. I don't think you get bhp jets as 75hp would do a lupo gti and a highly tuned r35. I'm not too clued up on nos wet dry etc etc. I don't think you would get 75bhp out of an sdi no matter how much nos you pumped in. But on the flip side it's safe compared to a petrol car as they have to run at certain ratios. Would an sdi take 120bhp with out bending or cracking something? Plus if you wanted more power you would need to turn fuelling up too.
  13. Ehh? To make an lpg diesel you would need to lower compression and install spark plugs. Nitrous you know it is? You can easily add that to a diesel as diesels run "lean" anyways and anything not used just goes out the exhaust.

    My Lupo GTI

What do you have planned for it?
  15. Yes could be but I hope it's not lol. Gearbox etc are expensive.
  16. Ebay. Just buy 6.5" ones and your good to go. What type of speakers?
  17. I've never seen an owl in a zoo. /end thread As said a video wound be good but I'm guessing wheel bearing or something rubbing?
  18. Should have bought pre made mdf rings. They fit right on and don't rattle like the plastic ones.
