  1. We should make our own "As Seen on Top Gear" stand at the front gate! lol
  2. Oh Aye, more local people on here that I thought, didnt get talking to you on Saturday night I dont think, I was pretty wasted had been drinking sex on the beach constant since about mid-day in preparation for listening to the chin all night, ducked out early enough. Parties are gonna be alot quieter now she is away to England to live. Note: Yes I know thats a really gay drink but my insides cant take any more red-bull and I love vodka to much to drink anything else, lol
  3. Thats the one mate yeh ... Do I know you? lol
  4. I will be working at Dubshed again this year so will keep an eye out, would love to put mine in the show but apart from the VDX Headlight conversion it is still completely standard
  5. I have had my TDI for about 3 months now, I paid nearly £3k for it with 62k on clock and a full dealer service history. I have had one problem with it with the Window Regulator but apart from that I cant fault it, the insurance is nothing, the tax is nothing, and it goes forever on a tank or derv.
  6. Thought I would post an update on this as I finally got an email back from VWUK this morning.
  7. They are a Universal Fitment so might require some jigging about but how much I dont know, I had originally bought them for my 6n2 Polo but like I said had never got round to even putting them near the car so I am not 100% sure. I will certainly try one in my Lupo tomorrow for you and post a pic up if it helps?
  8. Title says it all really, set of 2 (Left & Right) Sun Visor's in Black with 7.5 Inch Monitor/Screens. Never been fitted, only taken out of the box to look at when I got them a few years ago and then again to take pictures to sell. I ended up never fitting and they have sat in the back of the cupboard in my bedroom ever since. £70 ono Will do my best to answer any questions anyone might have. I am in Northern Ireland but am happy to send with Courier to anyone on UK Mainland.

    bonnet bra help?

I sell them in work from a Belgian company called Panther, they are normally really tight to the bonnet but on some models the shape of the bonnet is just too curvey for them to completely stick with the lines 100% and you get a bit of slack, I think regardless of brand your gonna get this, cheaper brands probley a bit more slack than the dearer ones but they will all have a bit if the bonnet shape is too complicated. They are a very love or hate thing, I sell loads of them for all different cars but personally I think they look stupid, I have a Lupo one in stock I should actually throw it on and see how it does sit on the bonnet, I am curious to see if there is slack in it. Never seen one of my own Lupo ones fitted, most go out mail order.
  10. Back for a third year it promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Anyone who attended last year will know that the Quality of the cars was outstanding, personally it restored my faith in car shows. Dont let 20 odd miles of water put you guys on the mainland off, every year more and more clubs in England, Scotland and Wales have been making an appearance. 11. My brother actually came up with an awesome idea last night over a few beers, since Belfast is now apparently the Hollywood of Europe and they are filming so many new movies and tv shows here, I should try and get my Lupo used as an extra in as many things as possible, not for money, hell I would do it for free, just for a laugh really. Gonna have to look into this more I think its a pretty good idea.
  12. Ha ha ha ha, Kevin and Perry, lol!
  13. Ha ha ha ha it actually is on that car database site, awesome, I should post on it, they are just arguing cause the plate comes up as a gti. Don't know if it would effect the value of the car would it? Feel extra smug actually if it does cause compared to any other ones advertised when I was looking for one, I got it for a pretty good price. Plate would be nice to get back on it, but its taken, lol ... Not really into cherished plates tbh
  14. Lol, that does not surprise me at all, lol, well it runs sweet now so I cant complain, and at least I can say "Clarkson drove my car and he loved it" Do you think if I phoned VW and gave them like the chassis number they could confirm if it was one of the ones they used as press cars? Long shot after near 10 years like but would really love to know.
  15. not lupo related but still cool ... when i had my Vento I had seen V3NTO for sale, wanted it so bad but was like 2 grand and i had only paid 600 notes for car itself, lol!
  16. P1 UPO £354 - Not a bad price
  17. L4UPO is for sale at the min on newreg for £1025
  18. Found a screen shot of it on what I am assuming is my car from Top Gear, would really love to know for sure though. Below is whats in the First Owner section of my Service Book.
  19. yeh thats what I was thinking, if I went to buy it and the guy had said "Jerremy Clarkson drove this" i'd have probably walked away, lol ... specially since at the end of the Road Test they cut back to the studio, its sittin there, and James May says they raced it round the Top Gear Track against a 16v, so, its had the balls hoked outta it then? lol ... In fairness though the service book shows like 3 services in the first year so its been well maintained and it still drives sweet, still only 63k on clock now.
  20. Hey Guys, A few months ago I bought my 02 Lupo Sport TDI here in Northern Ireland. Looking through the service history I found that it had only been in Northern Ireland for a year or 2 before I got it and before that it was in England, I thought it was cool that according to the service book the 1st owner was Volkswagen UK and the number plate on the car when it was new was L3UPO, would have been cool if it still had the plate but what do you do, never thought anything else off it untill last night when I was watching an old Top Gear where Clarkson was driving the Lupo TDI, and there it was, Blue Lupo Sport TDI with L3UPO on the plate ... could it be that my car was the one Clarkson drove on Top Gear? If it was I dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing, but would really like to know for sure if it was. I watched it a few times trying to see if there was anything I could spot, it has the sunroof like mine anyway and the CD Player on the dash. What are the chances and is there actually any way to confirm it? Thanks,

    TDI Exhaust

See mine is a Sport but I think cause its a diesel it wont be the same as the 16v, I was not sure if the 16v's or GTI's had different wheel wells at the back to be honest, I looked at the center exits on them and they are angled up, I assumed this was to work around the wheel well. If they do it might make it a bit more complicated to fit a Genuine VW Backbox to the car but with the right tail pipe and a welder anything is possible Like yourself I had planned though on using a VW Backbox to keep it all original parts so it would be good to hear from anyone else who might have done this on how possible it is, especially on the wheel well depth issue, is it not as deep on GTI's and 16v's for sure?
  23. Hey Guys, Was putting HID's into my Lupo on Friday there and had to put it up on the ramp to get at the fog lamps, anyway while it was up there we noticed that I have a few holes in the exhaust, after a closer inspection it seems that its the original exhaust still from when the car was new, so coming up on 10 years old, I think it would be better to just replace the whole exhaust on the car from the manifold back than to start welding the crap out of it for the sake of another few months. I have had a look online and cant really find any direct fit systems for the TDI but was hoping that one of you guys may have a suggestion or recommendation on what is best or where is the best place to look? One idea I had was getting a 16v rear bumper and backbox and doing the centre exit, just welding a straight through pipe from the manifold to the backbox and loosing all the cats, open to suggestions and opinions on this or any other ideas. I can find any gods amount of aftermarket stuff for the petrol models but the TDI's seem to be a bit harder to find stuff for.

    New Guy

Hey Guys, Im a life long VAG Head and been a fan of Lupo's since they came out, was gonna buy one new when I was 17 but ended up going for the Polo instead, now 10 years later I finally bought one. I was driving a 97 A4 20V T untill recently and just got a bit fed up with insuring, taxing and fueling it, so started the search and last week bought an 02 Lupo Sport TDI. 62k on the clock and a full dealers service history, really really good example of what I found out was a rare enough model to get hold off, especially over here in Northern Ireland. So now I am a Lupo owner I thought I would sign up and say hello Hopefully get some advice and wisdom about the best things to do, def planning on a remap but with such a small engine diesel am unsure as to what else can be done.
