  1. I had my pedal box done roughly 3 to 4 years ago along with a new clutch and gearbox rebuild to boot. The beginning of december my clutch cable snapped and ever since replacing it, the change hasn't been right. It was ok for all of a few days and now after a little while of driving it just gets harder to get into gear. Could this be the cable needs adjusting? there is obviously the thread and 2 nuts to adjust. Or could it be a pedal box again? Pretty sure the new pedal box would have been a revised one. Just after some advice before throwing more money at a 16 year old 115000 mile lupo which to be fair isn't worth that much any more. Was going to get the clutch done as was told the springs were weak and worn but the clutch 3 to 4 years ago has covered less than 40k.
  2. Yeah. Everything works fine with the passenger side unplugged. Must be odd that it's done the opposite the the common problem. I knew I couldn't have been the drivers side lock as the light buzzer still went off. But yeah, unplug the pass lock and the light dimmed off as normal with the key in the ignition and comes on when unlocking again. Just changing the passenger one today. VW didn't leave much room in there!
  3. Might as well put an end to this in the hope one day it might help someone in my position. Thought it worth unplugging the passenger side lock just on the off chance, good job I did as the interior light now works correctly.
  4. Well, as guessed unplugging the lock didn't do anything.
  5. Would the dimmer control be part of the actual interior light?
  6. Hi guys. Just noticed this at the weekend, my interior light won't turn off. Not even with the ignition turned on. It only turns off if you switch it to off. This seems to be completely opposite to the common issue of the lock micro switches which means the lights don't come on. The lights on warning buzzer still goes on. I've wondered if unplugging the door lock might trick it into thinking there is nothing wrong (if it's the lock) and make the light go off. Any seen this before? Thanks in advance.
  7. Afternoon all, As I'm sure you may have noticed we had an AWFUL amount of rain recently! This has meant the Loop has sprung 2 leaks. First of all, the OSR pop out window seems to be leaking despite realigning it several times, it's still pooling in the bottom corner closest to the drivers seat. It then runs over and either fills up the cubby or just dribbles down the hole where the drivers seat belt goes into. Firstly, has anyone else had this problem before? The original seal is a one piece loop but I've just ordered a new one from TPS and it's arrived as a length of seal and isn't joined. Where should I position the join where it isn't going to let water in? Seems a stupid design to have a break in a seal! And the other leak I have is in the boot. Now before anyone says rear washer pipe, it is NEVER used. I never hit the stalk that way and I dont have a rear wiper anyway. The only way I can describe it is that water is somehow getting on the inside of the boot seal, pooling at the bottom then running over the metal under the plastic boot trim and into the spare wheel well. This may be as simple as a new boot seal but just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this form of leak into the boot. Alot to read so apologies for that but thanks for any info in advance!
  8. Hi, I've just fitted some Alpine Coaxials in place of my old door speakers. I've used the Autoleads adaptors, and they don't foul on the glass or door card. But when the door shuts, just before and as it closes shut you can hear a scrapey crunchy noise. I'm guessing its the door brake fouling the magnet, I haven't had a chance to check yet. Has anyone experienced this before?? Any help would be greatly received!
  9. Yeah, I'd be interested too if it still is!
  10. I had my pedal box re-done at the same time as my gearbox rebuild, and since then my wipers dont work on intermitent, and on full they stop whereever on the screen when you put the stalk to off. is this likely to be a relay issue?? or the stalk. thanks
  11. I had mine done by Heritage in Salisbury last February. In july I noticed some raising in the paint above the drivers seat on the roof. This progressed to runs in the paint under the lacquer along with pin point lumps in the paint. After 5 long months arguing the toss with them, threatening legal action and involving VW Customer Care, it's going back in on tuesday to have the roof repainted. They also didn't replace my windscreen captive seal either so thats beind redone. I expect it to be perfect this time as they were trying to say it was an outside influence on the paint but couldn't tell me what caused it. Was less than impressed with their service so we'll see how it comes back this time.

    Hi!

Good afternoon!! Well as I've taken over ownership, I thought I better set up my own account. Here she is, you may recognise her. Plate has been retained by her so I shall be putting P6 LPO on as soon as the V5 is back!!
