  1. ^^ That and pictures would help.
  2. As American's would say: "ricer".
  3. If this is still up for sale by the time I sell my mini, I will definitely have to come have a look.
  4. This is just what I am looking for... hopefully I can sell my mini in time! Where abouts are you based?
  5. Wow that's a nice lot of kit. Just wondering if you have any pics of the iPaul 4/3/2 channel amp?
  6. Havn't had it with the rev needle but my fuel gauge has stopped working for no reason. At one point today it went to the top again, but after turning it off and on again it just sat at the bottom
  7. Some absolute amazing cars there! Car porn
  8. Alright thanks a lot for your advice! Its been a steep learning curve last day (reading up on TA). Decided that I may as well save up for a decent SQ install as I don't desperately need to upgrade the sound atm. This is what I'm going to save for. Focal Polyglass 165 VB (Running at 70w RMS) JL Audio JX360/4 (3/4 channel bridged for sub) JL Audio 12WX (Running at 180w RMS) + Sound deadening behind door panels. That seems to be a good quality set up & since the lupo is small it won't need an over powerful sub to get some good bass.
  9. Cool thanks I have been doing a bit of digging on those Focals and they seem to be highly rated! Reading some reviews it seems the Vibes are seen as quite harsh at the top end, whereas the Focals seem to be solid all around. It seems Halfords are selling the spec down in the Focal range, the Focal Access ones but with a 15% discount at the moment. That means I could a pick up a set for £80. LINK Then hooking them up to: LINK Since I'm on a student budget the £60 saved makes quite a difference . Would you recommend them (at that price) or would you still go for the focal polyglass + hertz? Also they seem to have quite low RMS in comparison to other brands at that price, I'm guessing this is because they focus on SQ instead of pure volume?
  10. Is the amplifier still up for sale?
  11. Ok thanks ill look into those makes, I have always had a soft spot for Vibe for some reason. If I was to only get 2 component speakers surely while the sound quality from those two would be better but the "whole effect" would be less? Or would the top quality 2 components + sub more than make up for that? Thanks, Rob Edit: Just had a look at the brands you recommend, the only thing is its a bit too pricy for me . But would you defiantly recommend 2xbetter quality components rather than 4xmid quality components?
  12. Okay so basically at the moment my dad is driving the lupo full time and he doesn't want a sub-woofer installed. So I'm trying to create a system that would provide high quality audio for the time being. (Sub will be put in at a later stage when I drive it full time). This is what I have come up with: Sony MEX-BT2700 Headunit (From my old car) 4x Vibe Slick 6" Component speakers (90w RMS @4ohms) - 2 in the front and 2 in the back. (How hard is it to install the tweeters in a lupo?) Clicky LINK Vibe Slick A1 amplifier (4x75w RMS @4ohms) Clicky LINK Just wondering what everyone's opinions on this is and also what would be the best wiring kit to get for this?
  13. Well if he is after a new exhaust sound I don't see anything wrong with that. I have a classic mini, its not fast but it sounds luuushh. Ill defiantly miss it when I transfer to the lupo!
