    roof chop

Yeah, it's a 2 year old topic... but I made some photos cos it's something I've always been dreamt about doing. IMO these pics show that a chop top lupo IS awesome looking. It just needs the "less is more" approach with a subtle chop.
  2. HI, I recently got locked out of my mk2 Arosa... The AA man didn't have an airbag ("someone had taken out his van") so started fishing around in the door with a slim jim. All he achieved was to knock the cable off the outside door handle and somehow turn my courtesy light on. Eventually got into the car by crowbarring the top of the door and rodding the interior handle (nice...) I have reattached the cable on the door handle (anyone who has done this knows what a biatch of a job it is) and I have straightened my door best I can (with brute strength... grab top of door and apply knee to middle of door) Anyway... So the courtesy light still stays on all the time, with the light in the "door open" position, even with the door shut. As the only access to the inside of the door is a childs hand size hole, I thought I would see if I can get any help on here before I go delving in the door again. Cheers
  3. I've got a mk2 1.0 Arosa. I'm looking at getting some 13x7 superlites with 175/50/r13 tyres and offset -7 So obviously I'll need to do some lowering too!! My question is... What's the best way of lowering a 1.0? I've read all the Coilover review pages and it's all relevant to 1.4s or GTis I want to drop the car as much as possible for looks/styling, but obviously I'm not too worried about handling (as you all know the 1.0s are sloooow!) I don't want a bone shaker either though!! I'd be happy with springs/shocks or coilovers... Can anyone suggest a kit for me or point me in the right direction of another thread? (not the coilover thread one as like I said, that's not really for 1.0s)
  4. If it helps, my tyres are 155/70/R13... Anybody?!
  5. Hi Does anyone know the standard steel wheel size for a mk2 Arosa, including the offset? I'm looking at putting wellers on and need to have an idea of clearance/poke etc before I decide what size to go for. Can't find it in the reference topics... Cheers
  6. Thanks for that! Nice straight answer! Have you, or anyone else tried a mk1 arosa lower on a mk2 arosa upper?
  7. I have a mk2 arosa... I'm looking to slam it pretty low, but have an issue with clearance at the front end... It already scraps slightly getting off my drive at standard height. I was looking at options for the front bumper and noticed that the lupo bumper seems to give more clearance underneath and is also sweeps in nearer to the car. Now I know the whole bumper isn't interchangeable, but does anyone know if the lower bumper section from a lupo will fit straight on an upper bumper on a mk2 arosa? Any help would be great thanks!
