  1. The build (at least inside) is nearly done! Lighting over the custom dash Biting iPad! Utilising the redundant centre rear seat section for Iphone connection. This is linked to a parrot phone kit & answered by a button on the dash. :-) (rear seat not fully clipped in this pic)
  2. Cheers Carl. The main point of the Perspex section was to get some sound reflection- the lighting is another bonus! :-) Hope alls good you? No doubt mega busy?!
  3. Next update... Roof panel in & filled with expanding foam for rigidity. Perspex led lit reflection panel sanded for diffused light. Got blue & white switchable LEDs depending on mood lighting or to see! Alcantera perforated for better look Light reflection Makes the TT interior look Cool! :-)
  4. Thanks Em! Hope alls good with you? Yes havn't caught up in a while! :-) The new build has been totally set up for the EMMA soundoffs but I think it's sufficiently different to create some interest. Got to try to get into UD at least! Nothing ventured, nothing gained! He who dares rodders!! ;-)
  5. Aw! Cheers Alex! I'd love to have a look around your new project! You'd be very welcome for a demo! I will apply for UD & we shall see! :-)
  6. Thankyou Huw! I hope your right! Be nice to get in! :-)
  7. Power to the front screen with image showing what the rear camera shows! And view from rear The sunroof aperture has been built with a birch ply surround to fix the Perspex to. The roof panel has had added fibreglass & steel plate to minimise resonance & then the cavity will be filled with expanding foam. The sounds have improved already with roof panel in situ! :-)
  8. Hey Ryan! Thanks! I think finally the car will be ready to do a few shows next year. I don't think my car is a show car in the traditional sense but I think it's different enough to create some interest. Still need to do some engine work & having paint tidied up over next few weeks but lets see how it then survives the winter drives! I'd love to do UD if if they let me- I will try & apply and see what happens! :-) Thanks Lupopo! :-)
  9. Next update! The new roof panel (thanks RobGti), was purposely bought with the sunroof cutout, even though I don't have one, to add another feature to the build. The cutout section is filled & will have a subtle backlit perspex section. This will allow some sound reflection & some interior light as the front roof light has been replaced with the roof console. The roof panel has been covered in black perforated Alcantera & the console has had some added features. The switches are for system power & lights & the voltmeter was rescued from the previous build, which handily is Genesis logo shape. There is also a speaker built into the console just for the hands free kit! Getting real close to finishing now! ;-)
  10. Yup! Definate thumbs up on new wheel choice! ;-)
  11. So looking to getting to some shows next year! Will you venture south of the border? ;-)
  12. Hey Jamie! How goes?! Glad you like! Bit different isn't it? ;-)
  13. Love this little update! :-) In the sound quality sound off competitions some of the top cars do away with the rear view mirror whilst demoing. The reason? The soundstage which pans out in front & around you gives depth, height & width of sound - all the various instruments & the vocal is there right around you. The vocal tends to be centre so the rear view mirror is a distraction - particularly with a small car like the Lupo. Dave the fabricator has firstly built a pod for a camera pointing out the rear And then covered it in Alcatera So we have a camera to get rear view & now this must be seen from the front. So a module was made within the roof for a screen to show image. And the view from the rear :-)
