  1. Hi,I'm Max, 19 from west yorkshire and i bought my silver 1.4S lupo last week

Its a 2002 with 47k miles, 1 prev owner and FSH

Havent done much to it yet other than the essentials, new bulbs, debadged boot, bit of painting on interior trim, fitted new kenwood head unit and edge 12" 350rms active sub.

Started taking my door bump strips off this morning but only had time to get 1 done and it still needs cleaning as you can see slightly in the pictures :P

Got a set of staggered 14x8 14x7 RH cups in black on at the moment, 195/45/14s all round, running them through winter and refurbing in spring when ive decided what my colour scheme and/or theme is going to be

Its not on coils yet either but i just got a couple of mates in the back so it isnt on stilts, ill have it about 30-40mm lower than the pics when its on coils cos its going to be my daily and im on the motorway a lot :)

    -Future plans are, coils obviously,

-Bonnet notch smoothed with badgeless grill

-Colour coded rear bumper (think im leaving front black as i prefer it black on the lower half)

    -Smoothed front plate recess

    -Dewipered with glass blank

as well as a load of other various little bits and pieces

Only working part time atm cos of uni so only brining in 130 a week and paying rents back 35 a week so budget isnt the best, but ill get it there by next summer i think :)

and thats about all ive got at the moment!

  2. Porsche adapters always adapt from vw centre bore to Porsche centre bore.

Audi centre bore is the same as vw, so they're correct anyway.

    No spigot rings needed.

oh right nice one, thats perfect then as i prefer the pepperpots as well :)

gna look about for some cheap ones i can polish up over winter

  3. Thinking of getting audi pots or some dials, just need to know which adapters would be the cheapest of the 2 and how cheap i could get each for

    audi 5x100

    porsche 5x130

Also could i get direct fitment ones? (so the adapter inner c.b is 57.1 and the outer cb on the wheel face is the same size as the wheels c.b?)

if they do im guessing it would be a custom job so spigots would probably be cheaper anyway?

    Thanks,

    max

  4. I think mine was about £30 a headlight as i bought 2 sheets incase i messed up.

I just got it off the LaminX website.

    ouch thats pretty steep

if im only wanting a light smoke (just to basically get a less chromey look) would i be better off with cheap e-tech rattle cans of tint spray?

  5. I didnt even heat it up, really workable as soon as you take it out the packet, you can pull it back off if you make a mistake too. Small air bubbles just come out on their own too, no need to pop them.

oh right sick, how much is it, ive seen it for like £30 when i did a quick search, is that about right?

  6. This is mine using the darkest LaminX available. I didnt notice any reduction in light transmission at all, but it does say it will only reduce by a maximum of 10% for the darkest tint. Worth every penny too!

    oh right nice one :)

i just want a like smoke effect on mine so thats good news

is it easy stuff to apply? just like vinyl, bit of heat and stretch?

  7. I looked into doing this recently but didn't for various reasons. But i do have around 6m x 1.4m of self adhesive transparent vinyl if you want it? Would happily send it to you for postage costs, costed me around £15 but its just filling my boot up at the moment and I have no use for it. PM me if you're interested.

    Gilly.

Thanks man, how much would postage be to HX2?

i think im going to just use rattle cans of clear laquer, itll give a less glossy/reflective finish so wont be a problem with the t-section on the dash

Though if it doesnt come out well ill have to use vinyl instead

  8. Im thinking of doing something abit different with my interior trim, want to use loads of cut up pictures from magazines etc and make collage style... things on all the trims parts

Just wondered what the best way to do this would be

I was just thinking pvc glue to hold them down and then finish with a layer of lacquer?

any advice as to whether this would work or any other alternative/better method would be great thanks :)

  9. To be quite honest bud there probably ain't many places that would take this kind of work on mainly cus it takes time and time to smooth n blend plastics and labour costs cud escalate, it's ok getting it done cheap but chances are the blends will crack quickly, I use to work for a Bodyshop in S****horpe called MSM vehicle refinishers theses boys have done alot of custom work in the past and had alot of mag features but aren't cheap

    Hope iv helped in anyway

    Gaz

Thanks man, i just want the front end smoothing, i know the bonnet notch is just a welding job so not as expensive but i would like the rest of the work doing as well, ill just have to save up and get it done well
