  1. Hi Matt, soak them in WD40 and wind them back in and out over a few days they have gone tight on way out as you have run up to the exposed thread , just work them by loosening and tightening them carefully . when you get em out take it to your VW dealer as a pattern ( even if its in two halfs) and give him the "registeration number of your car" and tell him what you want , he will show you diagrams on his desk vw parts finder and you can identify them easy. they will have a clue ! DO NOT fit non standard bolts as the Vw bolts are 8.8 tensile strength and hardware bolts aint up to the loads you / the car will put on it , cheers Poss.....

  7. HI, NO its not an earth i have checked, Having rung a dealer and and confirmed the Gala Lead, but could only suggest fitting a VW stereo to cure it £££££.nice eh. Yes it is speed related, as i said as you slow down the wistle tapers off and accelerate it gets louder. And its bloody loud , like near ear splitting when driving. an earth fault tends to wistle thro the speakers with engine revs and is not car speed related, come on some one must have come a way to get round this problem i going deaf!!!. thanks again. POSS.
  8. Hi Guys posted a Wiring Radio/cd problem on main lupo forum can any one help Cheers Poss........
  9. Hi all. my daughter has just bought a 1999 v reg lupo 1.0 as her first car cool eh? however we have a problem, the car has a non VW radio.cd player fitted. we get a constant high pitch squeal from the speakers , i have done some checking and been told its a "Gala wire" causing the noise. apparantly (when a vw radio is fitted)the Gala wire turns the radio volume up to match higher engine revs and likewise as you slow down the volume creeps back down, its only a sutble change ,however when a non standard cd / radio is fitted then you get a high pitch squeal thro the speakers which is also speed related. SO ............ HOW THE BLOODY ELL do you get round it, there must be a easy mod ? as the standard Radio is C**p, how do we bye-pass this problem?, i presume its a relay or small unit on stereo loom . if its a VW part does any one have a part number for mod? its probably been asked before but we are new to VW`s so thanks for your help in advance Tar POSS................
