  1. I think its because FK have limited the number of retailers. FK felt that if they reduced the number of outlets then they could keep the price up! Scandelous really This put me off buying them for the polo as i was quoted £349 one week then £479 the foloowing week when i wanted to purchase them... Im still on the hunt for a set for the Lupo
  2. Will Et 25 wheels 7.5"x15" fit ok on a lupo sport? Im no good at working out the offsets! Cheers in advance
  3. Im with Brentacre... I have modded insurance & they are pretty cool really. I can mod the car in any way or form for no extra cost as long as I don't up the BHP. If I do up the BHP then all I have to do is inform them & pay a little premium. I'm told the premiums go up in stages. 10-20 BHP = x amount 21-30 BHP = x amount 31-40 BHP = x amount and so on hope this helps...
  4. /\ /\ /\ /\ As taz said. If the wheels were balanced when you had the tyres fitted , then I'd get a four wheel alignment done. Around £30 down the local tyre specialists will sort it! Im liking the wheels - look good style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" /> (I bought a set of these from rocco last year, top notch! / these are now for sale on here on the 4 sale section)
  5. I now know what i'm doing this weekend! Cheers for the info style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  6. I had the same trouble with the timing belt & the stupid prices on both my Lupo & Polo! I had the polo done at Richard Alexanders in Huddersiel for a Tidy sum of £380 & for this they had assured me they'd replaced the belt, tensioners & water pump. Low & behold 1 week later the water pump went! I took it back to them & made them strip the bits back down whilst i waited. It turned out it was still my origionall water pump - not a new one that they had chrged me for!!!!!! To cut a long story short I got the work done (a NEW water pump) and then proceeded to argue with them for a few weeks as they then wanted paying for the replaced water pump!!!1 Cheeky so & so's style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> So when it came to doing the Lupo's belt , i went to GSF and bought the parts £90 all in including the waterpump and fitted them myself! The moral is - The so called warrenty or guarentee for workmanship isn't worth the paper its written on!?!
  7. Count me in! I'm in Wakefild near Leeds. Sheffield, Brarnsley, Leeds, Doncaster or anywher within reason style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
  8. Yeah i removed the said screws and then pulled like hell but it still didn't shift it. I couldn't see if there is any double sided tape on the underside that may be holding it down. The more i pulled it the more i thought i would snap it or worse still pull some paint off! Not good. Looks like i can hear the VW Dealers calling style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  9. Random post i know! Cheers for the replies guys... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

  12. Hello! As you can see this is one of my first posts on here, I'm just wanting a bit of help with the high level brake light on the 'Sport'..... I only have two of the led lights still working in this and want to replace all the nackered ones. Is this a sealed unit? I have undone the 2No. bolts and tried getting it off but to no avail. Is it one of those anoying parts you have to brake in order to remove it - and then buy a full replacement? Any 'light' you can shed on this would be a great help Cheers guys
  13. I can vouch for this! I changed my belt at 50,000 miles & it saved me a real big headache. The belt had the biggest chunks missing & was worn & cracked almost everywhere! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
