  1. You DO know cars like old pick ups have separate body AND frame? Putting body closer to frame makes them go lower and that's called body dropping. How you body drop a car with one piece frame and body?
  2. Can't have a Lupo like that. You have seen pick up trucks having door sills floored, that's because you are able to bodydrop them. And get them even doored if bodydrop ain't enough. New cars like Lupo you can't. And that's why I'd like to own a pickup one day. I just can't see how you can ride them like that but you cannot ride this?? They scrape as much as this and they cannot turn either when wheels are tucked in, just like the Lupo here. Or whatever properly air rided car for that matter. I don't understand your point I'm affraid.
  3. Just raise it up a little bit more and you can race all day long if it's what you want. Today I'm laughing about the idea I had 3 years ago, that my first car (The Lupo) should be a car I could use on track etc. LOL! Then I saw a few lowered cars, met some wrong people, and now I got one of the most lowest and slowest GTI's on planet and couldn't be more happy about it! There's no life like lowlife
  4. Haha, thanks! I can take you one if ya really want, but basically imagine it 0.5" higher and that'll be it. When I want to make a turn, I raise the front to get more room, otherwise the rims hit the arches and I really mean rims, not tyres haha! EDIT: Oh and the car handles sooo differently than before, I'm really falling in love once again. I donno if it's cause the wheelbase has been grown +1" longer than it was, or because of the new bags, or new driving PSI pressure or what but I like it!
  5. Thanks all. Yeah, but not for too long because I will swap my front struts for better ones with wider movement. After that we need to raise up the strut towers. And I want the rear go lower, inner arches needs to cut open. My front ARB is still attached btw, is yours?
  6. Here we are. Now only if I could take better photos. OR even wash the damn car haha!
  7. Yer, I'm back. The "Lowering-part" will be finished soon, just need to mount the new rear bags, weld up a few spot, make a few notches, grind down front ARB, etc. Then a new temporary muffler (Stays on as long as the rear bumber has been finished), and shaved side blinkers.
  8. Yeah, FK grill for standard Lupo. Going to Turkey today, GF and I, so no new updates for a week ...BUT after that, beware!
  9. ^ Custom partssss, jjjkkk-parts Car's 1 inch away Thanks for watching
  10. Rear wipes the floor, front is an inch away! Soon my precious, soon
  11. Pitty I can't show you guys everything - Stupid MOT
  12. Did I say rear is complicated? LOL, rear is done and front might end up to be one big pain in my ass, and in my wallet too. We might, just might get away with it just by replacing the airbags to different brand but we'll see... This is a time when I wonder why an earth I am so freaking obsessed... EDIT: Some fine tuning from my work... Wheel adapters... 3mm turned out from here... 1mm off from the backside: Adapter bolts. 8.5mm off ...Aaand 6mm off. From ET40 to ET45. Nice!
  13. A funny thing. We thought the front would be the hard piece, but turns out the back is far more complicated. Rears need to go inside, 9mm per side. By turning down the wheel adapters, and the wheels itself (ET from +40 to +45) we can make this happen, luckily there's no need to modify hubs nor discs more or anything. Brake mount plates are the only piece needed to fabricate from scratch. They got a big part of dropping the rear end.
  14. With BMW's on, no, but that WILL be my driving height after the cars done. With my 14"'s on, it's driveable with 0 inches clearence if you don't mind the sparks and the sound of a scraping metal.
  15. Hell yeah, I have one on my windscreen! I thought I did send you a thank-you-message by email but guess it's lost Most think I've done it by myself and they're amazed after I tell them DS is a real thing. Luv ya Ben <3 Oh, and thank you all for the feedback too!
  16. Kiitos, xkarinx Hey, when you do, bring the Polo with you will you? I have a soft spot for 6N2 GTI's We never had them here for sale, they are VERY rare just like Lupos.
  17. It wont when it's ready. That's the whole point of this project. -to kick niallod's ass. LOL!
  18. Sounds sweet!! What wheels you'll get? I like it lowwww: The wheels are on. Everything rubs on everything, and there's a 60mm gap between the ground and the car. Needs serious modifications to get it slammed
  19. FFFSS! Had this crazy idea and pisses me of I don't have enough money to make it happen anytime soon. I've been planning to shave and clean up the engine bay, and yesterday we found out it would be quite easy to drop the car more by lifting up the whole subframe a few inches. I just lack some cash because these both things need to be done at the same time... This point we're only gonna raise up the engine to avoid scraping my oil pan and manifold too much.
