I remember wheels in the 50's were discs with hub caps, 60's were all Pepper pot G60's style. In the seventies, they were Enzos (or many thin spokes), 80's split rims then three spokes, 90's were five spokes, 00's Teddy's and wierd combos and now a reverse cross of custom hot rod rims mixed with split rims. Rivets everywhere. It's definitely trends and fashion. My personal favs are the chunky looking 5 spoke mags like you get on Starsky and Hutch car. Not that they'd fit a loop. Now, how about wire spoke wheels?

Nurse, bring me my pipe and slippers.

Slot mag alloys were the alloys of the 60s

I'd keep one set of each instead of 2x the same...

As for the colour, that's a very personal thing. I rarely like wheels in any colour other than silver (this is +200 positive points :cheeky:)

    I have 10 Bathursts (maybe 11 🧐)

    Thoughts:

5 to be done OE silver (6 if I have 11)

    5 to be done anthracite

    Sell 5 x BBS RW

    or

    5 Bathursts OE silver

    5 BBS RW anthracite

    sell set of 5 Bathursts

    Hmmm, decisions, descisions, descisions 🧐

I'm not sure about RW's on GTi's to be honest. On non-GTi's on the other hand, they look awesome.

Should I sell mine then? Sure they will fund the refurbs of my two sets of Bathurst.

I was thinking of getting them coated in anthracite, but could sell them bare and let the new owner decide 🤔

if you can afford it, I recommend KW1 v1 Stainless 👍🏽

  5. I had a 1.0 Arosa. A while back and found that I wasn't that economical.

Remember it only a 34 litre//7.5 gallon tank.

I plan/planned on 50 miles a 1/4 tank. Any more is a bonus, any less is fun.

19 miles for a quarter is my funnest (recorded) return in the GTI the Pyrenees.
