Hi guys, recently I have been having some issues with the water temperature. I was coming back from work and noticed the needle which is usually sat bang on 90c started to creep upto the 110c mark. I put the heaters on full and it started to come back down. Got back home and noticed the coolant was between the Min and Max mark so topped it up. Went out again later and it started to creep back up again. I dont think the fan cut in either and I dont know when it actually does kick in? Had my mate at the garage check it out, had a look at the pipes couldnt see any leaks or anything. Check the fan behind the radiator, which works fine when I put the blowers on hot. I changed the temp sensor afew months back when it had a service. any ideass what else could it be? Thanks guys

Hi all, I have a set of FK coilovers on my Mk1, but I want the rear to go lower as its just the springs. Anyway to do this without buying another coilover kit? Cheers

Hi all, anyone know how they go back in? I had to replace mine as they blocked up over the crappy snowy weather. Im trying to fit them back in but they dont seem to clip in, how do they fit? doing my nut in LOL Cheers

just up update guys, I have changed the Coolant Temp sensor and it starts up 1st time everytime I still get a rough-ish idle now and again, im guessing something to do with the throttle body as it sometimes hesitates when accelerating.

Will I be able to get away with a 20mm spacer with these? Need to see some pics. 10mm spacer is ok, around 5mm more and the lip of the wheel will be inline with the arch.

Most of the tabs have been folded that I can, but still not secure enough. I had a panasonic in there before which was ok, bloody weird! I think i'll have to find the rubber bung thing.

Hi guys, my Alpine stereo isnt very secure in the position its supposed to be in, It has the cage in aswell but it isnt fitted securely. Is there supposed to be anything around it to make it sit more steady? It rattles around and getting annoying! any ideas? can anything be fixed to the rear of the stereo to hold it "straight" and not jiggle around lol cheers

I changed the HT leads yesterday and had a service with all gen VW parts around 3 weeks ago.

Hi guys, my car (mk1 Arosa 1.4 mpi) always starts 3rd or 4th time each morning from cold. Crank the engine then 2 secs later off, try again, same or just about gets the revs up and idles. (usually give it alittle throttle to get it going) I have had a full service on the car, changed HT leads, what else could it be or changed? Does anyone have a Vagcom around the Oxfordshire area that could check it out for me incase it has any errors? Really annoying every morning, when its warmed up properly it starts up first time! any ideas? Cheers
