i changed mine and the light reset itself, bought it from vw for about £10, its located on top of the brake pedal with a four pin connector in it and its just a twist out connection. If your lights still on it might be worth plugging your car in?

ye definately sounds like your motor if youve checked all other options, you could test the resistance in the motor as a final check

2001 lupo sport A few days ago my 'check' light came on, before this my car was hunting on idle and now its not while the light is on.Also there is more than usual white smoke coming out of the exhaust as if its running rich?? I used a vag com reader and came out with the following 16786 egr flow excessive 17645 cylinder 1 fuel injector open circuit 17646 cylinder 2 fuel injector open circuit 17647 cylinder 3 fuel injector open circuit 17648 cylinder 4 fuel injector open circuit ive had a quick look and cant see anything obvious??? any help here would be great thanks
