Finally got it done, really happy with it, there is so much more power from the little engine, over the moon, took longer than I hoped for to have it done but it was worth the wait
-
I've fitted one to mine, I've just drilled a hole in the top inlet pipe then tapped it so that I can but a connector in, then I've just ran a thin rubber pipe in to the car through the bulk head then up to my center air vent, I don't know how to post pictures to show you or I would

Hi guys, I've got some ronal turbos, I'm getting them refurbished soon but was wondering what would look good other than polished as I want to be different
-
I'll be getting it done then, my mate can get it done for me for 100 pound, he had his 130 bora mapped to 185 and it's quick, should be getting it done in a few weeks hopefully, can't wait now haa
-
Is it worth getting mapped then ross? I've finally fixed my car so time to get it mapped
-
Yeah it is mate, finally found my problem, belive it or not it was my coolant temperature sensor, I bought a cheap 8 pound one from Andrew pages, bought a 30 pound one from tps so it's a genuine vw part and my car runs perfectly again and hitting around 15 psi of boost according to my guage, time to get it mapped!
-
A place called euro car parts, I've had it reconditioned for 200, put it all back together and it's still won't boost when warm, any ideas, I've had a boost pressure sensor and map sensor
-
Thanks guys, I'll look into it
-
I was going to pay someone 200 pound to do it but 50 sounds a lot better, where do i get the map from and what will i need, im quite handy with cars and computers so I'd be able to do it myself
-
I'm on taking it off but my oil feed pipe won't come off, once that's off I'll be able to get the turbo off but the turbo will still cost 500 pound
-
Turns out my wastegate isn't holding its pressure, if anyone else has a problem with their turbo then try the map sensor and boost pressure sensor first, also use a mighty vac to see if the wastegate holds pressure, check all boost pipes as well, hopefully I can get it repaired if not its about £500 plus vat
-
I'm looking into get mine mapped once i fix or replace my turbo, let me know the outcome and if it's worth the money for that extra 25bhp and if your car runs any different, I've also got a piece of pipe to weld in to decat and desilence it
-
Is that the little box on the right hand side bolted on to the bulk head?
-
Can anyone help me? I've got a 1.4 tdi arosa, it won't boost when the engine is warm but it will when it's cold, all my boost pipes are fine, the only thing I can think of is the boost solenoid, is there anything else or has anyone had this problem?
