bossjohnc
There's a small notch toward the base of the key on the VW side - get an appropriately sized flathead screwdriver, insert and twist carefully. The key will split in to 2 - the key and the fob.Either side of the fob are two further clips which you can work loose with the same screwdriver. This splits the fob in to two - the circuit/buttons, and the battery. You can tease the battery out with your screwdriver here.Replace it, and put back together in reverse!!Replacement batteries available here, £3 for 2 including VAT, P&P. (I'm going to buy 2 so I have one spare - most keyfobs use these apparently)Note: if the link doesn't work properly, the battery type is CR2032, also known as DL2032, BR2032, KL2032, L2032, ECR2032, 5004LC, KCR2032, `E-CR2032`, KECR2032, `SB-T15`.
