Dblock
Hi guys, Looking for a little bit of help on a 1.4 tdi. If anyone has pics great but even a rough guide would be nice. Does anyone know how to take off the inlet manifold? I just want to take it off to give it a good clean out same with the EGR valve. Will I be ok take the vacuum pipe out of the EGR valve too? When I did a search there is alot of conflicting advice. Thanks for any advice guys, always appreciated.
Dblock
No one removed the inlet manifold? I assume that other vags like fabia and polo share the same engine as the 1.4 tdi lupo/arosa?
Dblock
Taken from a user called Raikky on clubpolo1. spray penetrating oil on the 2 nuts which clamp the egr pipe to exhaust manifold then remove. maybe you will need nut/bolt removers.2. remove other 2 bolts which clamp egr pipe to egr housing. discard gaskets3. pull egr pipe away4. remove inlet elbow from manifold and IC pipe from IC to elbow hose.5. undo the 3 bolts which secure the egr housing to manifold. then pull egr housing off.6. 4 bolts secure manifold to head. remove these then pull off manifold.7. clean out manifold8. put everything back in reverse order using new gaskets and nuts.Does that sound about right?
