si_leeds Posted March 29, 2012 Report Share Posted March 29, 2012 The wifes polo drivers side lock barrel is goosed so we have to lock it from passenger side, its electric central locking and I was wondering if it would be possible to swap over the drivers and passenger side barrels? TArosa Posted March 29, 2012 Report Share Posted March 29, 2012 had a few similar problems with a mk 2 ibiza and my current car (arosa) ... taking the barrel itself out isnt hard at all just putting it back together is as there are a number of pieces with raised stops on them wich all align up and tend to snap, aswell the spring needs twisting and rests on the side of one of the pieces... all in all its a pain in the arse (from my experience anyways)... it can be done but it takes a lot of patience ... dont know if this will help, but i would look for alternative ways i.e. replacements unit Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
