MrSloanes
I need this changing as the car is running like ****. Just checking that what I think is the filter actually is the filter.
beska133
yeah thats the fuel filter, and it looks like its been on there years haha, grab one from Unipart or somewhere, around £8, make sure you put the new one on the right way, it shows you an arrow of flow, just yank the pipes off, a little big of fuel will pour out, and you will get covered so be warned! haha
MrSloanes
Haha that's all good. I'll just make sure I'm not smoking at the time lol!
hectashouse
you could get mole grips or something to pinch the pipe so the petrol dont pour out quite as fast ?might make it easier hecta.
Defcon5
Is that the original filter? What problems are you actually having?
MrSloanes
basically the car keeps running like **** once i put petrol in (feels like there is no power at all), similar to it feeling like its running out of petrol. Spoke to a mate who is my mechanic and he said thats what it will be.
Defcon5
I would suggest its the fuel pump actually, but for the sake of a tenner its got to be worth a try
MrSloanes
cool, ill try it and if not ill get a fuel pump too. they cost much/hard to fit?
beska133
the tanks have anti-siphon so they wont pour out for long, but abit will pour out, the most will come out of the filter haha
