15x5.5 with ET45 fit?

Hi all

I'm looking at fitting BMW MINI 7-hole pepperpots to my Lupo TDI sport. I'm aware the VW centre bore is 57mm. There seems to be conflict but I think the BMW MINI centrebore is 56.1mm but it's clear I will need to get it enlarged.

Would I be able to do this myself using something like a drill-mounted flap sander or hole honing tool such as this one?

or does this need to be done more accurately at a machine shop?

The other option would be to use generic 4-stud 10mm spacers with lengthened bolts but is it a major issue not using hub-centric ones?

The other concern I have is if I stick to ET45, are my tyres are going to clear the suspension with such a high offset? The current tyres on the MINI 81 Imola alloys are 175/65 which is way too large to and will scuff my arch liners.

I'll be transferring over the tyres from my current wheels which are 195/50 (not ideal but they work until I get a new set of 195/45, 175/50 or even 165/50). Will the inside edge of the tyre catch on the suspension without spacers?

i done my mini wheels whithe a flap wheel that cost me 2.50 from my local ironmonger your only skimming off 0.5mm doesnt take long with a decent high speed drill i had a spare hubcentric adaptor/spacer to keep checking the fit,

Would another option that also solves the ET be to buy two pairs of these?

Take them to a engineering shop and skim 0.5mm radii off the hubcentric flange? Would be easier for them and a cheaper charge hopefully.

Ok they won't come with longer bolts but I was thinking of converting to studs and nuts anyway.
