jimbobm Posted June 20, 2011 Report Share Posted June 20, 2011 hi guys, my clutch has been adjusted and bites really high and so i was going to get it sorted but today it basicly stalled in first and now when its on tickover and you put the car in first with the clutch still pressed the car judders like mad, most gears are hard to get in but especially second. theres a slight whine when driving but nothing too much.clutch or gearbox?cheers, james. jimbobm Posted June 20, 2011 Author Report Share Posted June 20, 2011 yeah. the clutch has been adjusted out for a year though so that makes me think its that. im just confussed why second gear is harder to get than the rest and the slight whining noise.just had a look at the pedals and the clutch pedal is a couple of mm higher than the others but not much that it looks odd or anything.cheers, james. jimbobm Posted June 23, 2011 Author Report Share Posted June 23, 2011 cars in the garage now. turns out the clutch was knackered and half the gearbox was broken and so its having a new clutch and a gearbox rebuild. fingers crossed it will drive like new afterwards.
