I'm new to this site but would like some advice. i am getting probs selecting first and sometimes, it actually get reverse. i'm trying to find out if i could get a full gear selector system off a 96 in there?if you know please reply asap so i can get it sorted.cheers..Alan newby driver, south-wales. bigben Posted May 1, 2011 Report Share Posted May 1, 2011 I know with the early golfs thisis quite common problem but from what i know it's a easy fix(worn selectors) but could cost money.
