first of all i know this gets asked alot as i have done quite a few searches and not much answers come up, basiclly im thinking of getting a lupo for a project stripping it and making it a trackday car for abit of fun

so what's needed and what things are a struggle

im going for the 150bhp golf aum engine with ko3s as i dont want it to have a much better spec than my golf

parts needed:

Engine can you have DBW or does it have to be cable?

5 speed gearbox

Custom drive shafts

Engine Mounts, read that if its golf engine can use golf mounts? is this correct?

subframe standard? can anybody clear this up

keys, unlocked ecu, ignition barrel?

Loom how does it go with wiring straight forward or a pain?

Bigger Brakes, think golf gti/ gttdi as they fit under 15s, do they fit lupo?

Custom exhaust job i take it

thats all i can think of any other parts needed?

cheers reply much appreciated

Engine can you have DBW or does it have to be cable? depends on what your car has

5 speed gearbox - O2A would be best in my opinion

Custom drive shafts - correct

Engine Mounts, read that if its golf engine can use golf mounts? is this correct? you can use the metal mounts from the block but you will need a customer front cross member , rear dog bone , all side mounts made custom

subframe standard? can anybody clear this up - see above

keys, unlocked ecu, ignition barrel? - unless you get the ECU coded accordingly

Loom how does it go with wiring straight forward or a pain? - as much of the loom as posible but you could leave your exsisting loom in for things like speakers , front and rear lights

Bigger Brakes, think golf gti/ gttdi as they fit under 15s, do they fit lupo? - golf GTI/TDI brakes are all 5 stud, you would need to go G60 brakes

Custom exhaust job i take it - correct

+ much , much much much more
