the hole at the top near the engine has to be welded up no idea what it's for

That Hole is for 1.4 16v engines, they have something like diesels have. called EGR

this is for exhaust smoke returned to intake to lower co2

this manifold is like for 8v polos only difference is plate that is for 16v with added EGR conection

so this is universal for ALL 16v polos not for GTI special

That dont really look too much different to the standard manifold. Apart from its stainless steel, i Know of one company in europe that do one for the lupo. CSC marmitte. But there approx £500 if i can remember correctly.

The raceland needs to be cut and rewelded, its not that hard of a job. Theres a few pics in my build thread of the work thats needed to be done. also ttttada's build thread shows it too in a few more pics.

Yes it looks the same that is the point !

difference is in diameter of pipes.

i have contacted supersprint in italy but they don't have it.

i am putting schrick cams in so i want manifold too

CasperGTI - im going to get a sports cat made for my gti, and check manifold connections (was on car when bought, havnt looked at it yet), after i get the sports cat would you recommend a remap to get it setup properly? any idea the cost of a remap?

Ok well id reccomend awesome gti for the remap think there about £250 plus vat

BUT first, get the air intake for the car sorted. and get the exhaust how you want it.

Then go see them, a member on here had a custom exhaust fabricated inc the manifold, with a BMC intake on it too. and i think he saw about 145bhp with a knackered coil pack.

A remap ties your mods together correctly, its the last thing to do.
